My husband and I stayed for 3 weeks, Sept 2023. Why did I wait so long to post a review? I had an overwhelmingly year after losing my mother and time got away from me. Why post now…people need to know where they are sleeping. Before writing my review, I looked at pictures and if these pictures are current, the hotel has been remodeled. If it has been remodeled since Sept 2023, then I would recommend staying there based on its location. I cannot speak for how the rooms look today or based on their cleanliness. I can only speak from my awful experience.
We arrived around midnight after driving 17 hrs. When entering our room, we immediately noticed the room had an odor, the kitchen counter was dirty, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and the carpet had multiple big stains. We proceeded to the bedroom, pulled back the bedding, and there was a huge stain on the sheets in the middle of the bed, and the sheets were dingy. My husband went to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms and was told that they didn’t have the authority to move us. We would have to wait until the AM to speak with manager. Thankfully, we had a blanket. Morning came and my husband spoke with a manager, who was very nice, and was more than happy to accommodate. My husband had to leave almost immediately after speaking with the manager to get to his job site on time. I was left to transfer all of our belongings along with two dogs to the 3rd floor, from the 1st floor. We were told that everything had to be moved in one trip because they couldn’t allow us access to two rooms at one time. I got a cart to move our belonging. I begin pushing the cart down the hall, loaded and two dogs on a leash. And the cart did not roll very well. I was told because I had too much on it. Mind you, one trip. The manager witnessed me struggling to push the cart and offered to hold the elevator door for me but, not once was I asked by the manager or other hotel staff if they could help me. Entering our new room, I first noticed the curtains were barely hanging. As I looked around I noticed stains on this carpet. Then I checked out the bathroom. There was mold on the shower curtain, and the tub was stained. I immediately called my husband, and after searching the area there were no hotels available for 3 weeks. We had no other option but to stay. We were here for work not pleasure. I slowly begin noticing things like our window seals were covered with spiderwebs, and we killed multiple spiders in the room throughout our stay. Towels were dingy and stained. Under our kitchen sink there had been a previous leak and the plywood was damaged and falling through. I bought bleach cleaner and was able to get most of the stains out of the tub. I also kept spraying the bleach on our shower curtain to keep the mold away. A couple of the washer and dryers were out of service, and at any given time or day you would find trash piled in the hallways and by elevators. You could not enjoy the patio for the mice and the rats and the mosquitoes that were attracted to the water filled flower pots. The grill was filthy, no gas in the heated tables and only half of the patio lights worked. Directly behind the hotel there was a path used for walking. A part of that path, which I confirmed with the manager, was part of the hotels property. The path had trash and broken flower pots. While walking my dogs, one was attacked by bees. I was stung 5 times fighting them off of my dog. Manager said he would take care of it, but never did. Also, dog friendly, no pet area. All of the issues were brought to the manager but, not one thing was corrected. We were told that someone would be in to fix the curtains, that never happened. It was our understanding that refugees were living there. Kids we’re catching the school bus out front, breakfast was not enjoyable, it was not a peaceful hotel. I work remotely and was constantly disturbed from noise in the halls. We are diamond members, and this was definitely not a Hilton hotel that we are familiar with. I have pictures and would like to share...
