This is a beautifully designed urban park with lots of activities and trails. The Fitchburg cutoff bike path goes through the park. There's a nice boardwalk trail through a marsh habitat. You can see lots of different bird species, frogs, turtles etc. There is another shorter trail in the park which takes you near Cambridge Discovery Park. This area has lots of picnic benches and rocking chairs to enjoy a relaxing picnic in the park. Read moreShort trail with boardwalks over the brook. A nice place to see birds. Always lots of mallards and geese and the occasional teal or wood duck. The "discover park" a bit further down also has a trail all the way to Little Pond. I only wish the two areas were connected and/or the Alewife Brook area was larger, because by the time I've finished the Alewife Brook trail I am always left wanting more.
