From the moment my husband and I arrived at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center, the service and hospitality was TOP NOTCH! We travel often, but this was our first time in Denver, CO and this experience was different. We stayed at this hotel last week from Tues-Thurs (during the month of September). We were told that we arrived at the perfect time to experience the beautiful weather.
Pros: We received exceptional customer service from guest services, to house keeping, to the restaurant servers, and the hotel shuttle driver. Upon checking in, we were greeted by Jasmine- who presented herself with a very welcoming demeanor, told us a little bit about the hotel, and provided various amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. We traveled over 1600 miles (we were in town for a concert and my early birthday celebration) so we definitely appreciated everything that was offered since we were looking forward to an exciting and restful mini vacation.
The hotel and our room was very clean, well stocked, and spacious. The hotel has a parking garage with various rates and a hotel shuttle. The hotel shuttle travels within 3 miles of the hotel. We utilized the hotel shuttle to do a little sight seeing in the area and traveled to the notable Stanley Marketplace while we were there.
Our servers for Breakfast (Kelly) and Dinner (Susan) were AMAZING! Not only did they provide exceptional customer service and checked on us frequently to see how we were enjoying our meals; they also provided recommendations for local and downtown events and places to check out during our stay in Colorado. They were the sweetest and so kind!
The hotel was also hosting a conference/convention during the time of our visit. However, we didn't experience any large crowds, sound interference or disruptions while we were there. The hotel is HUGE! There were beautiful lounge areas inside and outside surrounding the hotel; with astonishing landscaping. There was even a cute grass photo backdrop located outside of the hotel's restaurant (inside the enclosed patio area). Our shuttle driver AJ was great as well! We loved his energy and area recommendations...he was prompt during pick up as well.
While we didn't see any kids around the hotel during our midweek stay, it is a family/kid friendly hotel.
Con: The only thing we noticed was not having access to a microwave inside our hotel room. However, we still wouldn't say it was an issue because as my husband was headed down to the front desk, he asked the housekeeper in the hallway about a microwave and they were literally knocking on our door within minutes with a microwave- that we kept in our room during our stay.
I could go on and on but I think I've included more than enough reasons to book with this PHENOMENAL Hotel if you are in the area.
Thank you again to the staff at the Hyatt Regency Aurora-Denver Conference Center. We greatly appreciate EVERYTHING and thank you for making our trip and experiences...
Read moreNice place. However I and my guess felt treated like low class citizens based on how we were dressed and the fact we got the cheaper hospital rate. We there mainly because my wife had an biopsy the next day and this hotel had the cheapest hotel rate. Each time we've asked for something in person, we were either told to get out of line and wait until they're done checking guests in/out or they'll have someone come to our room right away which only happened one out of three times. First we were told that a roll away bed would be waiting in our room as we checked in as we acknowledged them that five of us would be staying. We arrived and checked in. Went straight to our room to discover no roll away bed. We went down stairs to inquire one. We had to of course wait about 10 minutes as they were checking guests in for the night. Sadly we were misinformed that the room we inquire can not have a roll away and only allowed four people maximum as required by local law but said it okay to have five of us there if one guest didn't mind sleeping on the floor. We inquired more bath towels and washclothes as there was only set of two in the bathroom. We also asked for an extra blanket with two pillows. All of which we were told that housekeeping we bring to us. Two hours later nothing came to us. We called the front desk, different clerk, and asked again- she didn't know anything- she guarantee that we will get the pillows and blanket but towels washcloths will come tomorrow because housekeeping was gone for the night. So the next morning comes and we're off to the hospital. Before the hospital we ask for towels washcloths again at the front desk. The same clerk that checked us in yesterday, looked irritated, when she seen me in line while she was checking out guest. As soon as I approach the desk there was two other guess behind me. The first thing she told me, " Sir, as I told you yesterday, you have to get out of the line and wait until till I'm done unless you're checking out for today." Again she assured me housekeeping will come and bring me towels and washcloths. But before we left for good to the hospital I spotted one of the housekeepers on our floor. I asked for towels and washcloths. The housekeeper said normally front desk tells us when a guess inquires them. I told her our situation. She said I'll go ahead and give them to you and I'll let them know. That housekeeper was more friendly than most of the staff there. Thumbs up on hospital rate. Thumbs down on staff's attitude toward guests based on how...
Read moreExcellent staff but some strange room designs-- Stayed here for almost 2 weeks on business. One of the most friendly, accommodating, and warm staff I've ever experienced at a Hyatt, which says a lot as Hyatt has always been top notch with customer service. Borialis, the restaurant was very good, but has a limited menu...especially for long stays. I can't say I had a dish I didn't like though, everything was delicious. Currently there's not a ton of other food options close by, but the hotel is in an area being updated, so I expect in years to come that will change. The parking garage is gated, but has a few glitches time to time with reading your room key (takes several seconds before the gate opens). Again, the area is in the midst of renovations, so expect a strange mix of housing surrounding the place. I never felt unsafe, but you do not have much of a view from this hotel right now. The weirdest thing to me was some of the room design choices made here...I was in a king room, so I can't speak to other types. The TV is situated across from the couch and cannot swivel enough to be viewed from the bed. The hotel staff accommodated me by moving the furniture so I could lounge in bed while watching, but this was a massive design flaw in my opinion...seems like it could be easily fixed with some simple rearranging. The bathroom had some poor design as well -very spacious, but the access to simple accessories was not well thought out. There's a lovely make-up mirror that is too low to use unless you were sitting at the sink (but of course there's no chair, nor is there room for one) and it cannot swivel up and down, only side to side...so you have to crouch to use it. There are only 2 hooks next to the shower, and nowhere else to hang a hand towel/wash cloth up near the sink. No hooks on the back of the door, and only 1 towel rack situated on the wall behind the door in a very awkward place. When the bathroom door swings open, if you're seated on the toilet, watch your knees and head bc they're on a collision course...probably not a huge deal as most folks will close the door to use the facilities...but at night when you're stumbling around trying to navigate to the restroom without turning on a light it's difficult to do without stubbing a toe. The gym is more than adequate, but sadly no hot tub. The only complaints I have are related to those design issues... I'd recommend staying here as the staff especially...
