The breakfast hostess was extremely friendly. The majority of the front desk were friendly and helpful. Be forewarned that you are supposed to book the pool in advance to use. And it's only on the hour. So if you call down at 4:15, you only get 45 minutes. It is by far the strictest covid protocols that I have endured since the pandemic. But that isn't my problem. My problem is the clear lack of the hotel communicating that to my wife and I upon check in. If I was aware of the protocol, I would have zero problem adhering to said protocol. I came down to the desk asking for towels and that's when I was notified of having to reserve the pool. I said ok sure, no problem. I called down the next day to reserve it and that's when I was told it had to be on the hour. When I came down to be let into the pool with my 5 year old daughter, I was intercepted by the General Manager explaining to me that what they did the previous day was a courtesy and that we are in the middle of a pandemic (ya don't say?) and that the front desk lady was merely doing her job. I never during the duration of my conversation with the front desk lady raised my voice or became confrontational. I merely asked why I didn't have to reserve the pool on the hour the previous day. Even when the GM was scolding me, I merely told her that I didn't want confrontation, mostly due to this transpiring in the presence of my five year old kid. If I can tolerate the roach I found crawling in my room and my air conditioner leaking across the floor, surely they can explain irregular hotel protocols upon check-in. I've stayed at Marriotts for over 20 nights since the pandemic and never faced such odd measures for any pool regardless of indoor and outdoor status of said pool. Upon checkout the same lady that I talked to regarding the pool checked me out without asking me regarding my stay or thanking me. The owner then stepped in to do so. I really appreciated that. As a bonvoy member I guess I expected more.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. First the staff didn't want to allow me to check in because I didn't use a chain bank as such as capital one, regions or chase. Despite both cards presented being a banking debit card and credit card. With FDIC being printed and my name on the cards. She said said no third party cards whatever that meant, I'm assuming prepaid cards none of which I had. Also when I tried to show proof of the amount transaction charged to my account after being told deposit was being charged when my card had already been charged $60 over the rate. The hotel associate rudely refused. Then drilled us with questions of if we were going to be having parties or animals in the room or if we'd be smoking. Ironically, The room reeked of smoke and their solution was febreze despite my complaints of being asthmatic. Said it probably is coming in from another room through the vents as if that would stop an asthma attack. Then the window didn't have a glass, it was boarded up with a thin piece of plywood. The staff was rude especially the night associate. They tried to lie about extra available room options & switching my reservation to my bonvoy account from my friends. It took a friend who works for marriot calling for them to even do that action. After asking to be moved to a nearby TownePlace another room magically opened for us to move. And after being promised I would be compensated with points by corporate, I was later told no because the hotel denied the allegations. A very unacceptable action for such a horrible experience. Something has to be done. They need to be shut down. A simple look at reviews would show how terrible people have been complaining about the location. Something i wish i would have looked at before booking. Never Again

At first glance the building appears clean with friendly staff. After staying there for a week I debated between 1 and two stars. I picked one, however I wasn't robbed, and the rooms were cheap (30,000 points for 5 nights). Now for my reasoning. There were no towels at the pool each of the 5 times I went swimming. They didn't make the couch bed when they cleaned the room. The A/C didn't work, only "on" (plugged in) or "off" (not plugged in). I had to block the A/C with pillows when it got too cold. They only gave us one blanket. The hall way looked very dirty with stains all over the carpets. When I asked the front desk if they had a room available with two beds, they told me "no", and didn't even bother to check the computer. Two of the days housekeeping ignored my room completely. Only one of the two treadmills worked. They only had the waffle machine for breakfast two of the four mornings I ate breakfast, and I only saw one packet of syrup the whole week. The walls were painted a dirty looking mustard brown. The doors to the building were generally propped open (not very secure). One afternoon while heading to my room, I saw the housecleaning ladies just hanging out in one of the rooms having a very lively discussion. This was also one of the days they didn't service my room. The hot tub jets didn't work the first day we were there. It doesn't appear the staff cares about customer experience.

Marriott is supposed to be known for its reputation of high standards. Apparently this hotel did not get the memo. We reserved a two room suite which was "ready" for us when we arrived, but we had to walk through giant clouds of smoke from a guest smoking right at the entrance only to stand and wait for a front desk attendant for 5 minutes. When we finally got up to our room we pulled out the sleeper sofa to find red stains on it (which we are hoping was ketchup) and the bed was completely broken and could not be slept on. I called the front desk and they set up a new room for my family. I went down to the front desk (again, waited for several minutes) to get the new keys. When we got into the new room we discovered that the refrigerator still had old, gross food stuffed into it and I, AGAIN, had to go and find the front desk attendant to take care of it. He graciously came up and cleaned the fridge out himself while my two younger kids went to the pool. That didn't last long because the hotel had allowed a PARTY to happen and the guests were so unruly that I feared for the safety of my children. The party goers propped a secure door open for other guests to come and go as they please. They brought donuts onto the pool deck which they then swam with. My daughter swam right past a chunk of donut in the water. WE GOT OUT and again requested the front desk do something about the party and the food and the rowdiness and the security issue. He had to close the pool because of how dirty it was. So, the party went to their room -- guess what, it was right next door. We listened to them come and go and slam the door over 100 times before midnight. And this is simply the experience..... There is still the room. The beds were clean but the pull out bed was very old and hard and barely "more clean" than the previous room, but not by much. Our bathroom light and fan could not be turned on because it sounded like a jet plane about to take off. There are three TV's in this suite. ONLY ONE worked. I gave this hotel a two start rating ONLY because of the front desk attendant, LaQuinton. When he was there, he listened to every concern and complaint and handled it to the best of his ability. He did get ahold of his manager and they finally rectified certain situations to which we were grateful for. However, I will NEVER return...

I would give it ZERO stars if I could. I DO NOT recommend staying here. This was the sketchiest, most disgusting hotel property I've ever been to... there were people hanging out all over the parking lot smoking various things, the building was filthy, but the worst part was the overwhelming smell of both cigarette and marijuana smoke inside the room, hallways, the parking lot, and lobby (and who knows what else I was smelling.) We had to leave after only being there a couple hours because the smell was completely unbearable. There also appeared to be "permanent guests" living in some the rooms and they made no effort to hide it... we stayed on the 3rd floor and there were "welcome" mats and decor outside some of the rooms! The elevator did not work - while a minor annoyance for us, it's a huge issue for ADA compliance. When I notified the front desk they said "oh yeah, it doesn't work, you have to use the stairs." Which we did - we hauled our luggage up to the third floor.

We arrived at about 2:00 PM and checked out by 5:00 PM that same night. We travel 10-15 times a year with sports, we are Bonvoy elite members, and have alway had great experiences with Marriott. But we have much higher expectations than this garbage dump.

When I approached the lady at the front desk and told her we would need to check out immediately and cancel the rest of our stay, she was very polite and didn't really question me. She actually didn't seem shocked at all... she just did as I asked and said she completely understands my frustration. She asked minimal questions and made it seem like she would attempt to address the issue. Her politeness and help getting us check out quickly was appreciated, but her lack of concern just said that she knows that it's a dump.

I contacted Marriott by phone and via the website to formally document a complaint. The corporate office has been great with following up so far, in just the 24 hours since we were there - I will continue to follow up until this property has been investigated. Not only did this property feel unsanitary, unwelcoming, and unhealthy... it felt unsafe and is not representative of the Marriott...

I would really give 0 stars for my experience staying at this hotel. I am sharing one of the most horrific experiences staying at this hotel. The manager ‘Tiffany’ at this hotel was busy to finish her smoke inside her office while, we are at the front desk looking for help and waiting. she took her time and then came out. I am lifetime platinum elite status and always loved my experiences staying at Marriott for the last 15 years.

I reserved 5 nights to stay with family. I called the hotel to check their rooms availability and confirmed for the type of room with the front desk lady before driving there. After 5 hours of drive and almost there, they call me from the hotel and say, they cannot give the room anymore which they committed and asked me to cancel the reservation. I said it is too late to decide after driving 350 miles. So, we went there and adjusted with room. More horror, room given had more cockroaches. Next day, i meet this lady Tiffany, she heard about the cockroaches and started discussing between their staff about the last time they did pest control. We realized, she is of no help and stayed in that room without no proper housekeeping. i cleared the cockroaches myself. There is another drama queen in the front desk named Tanya. This is the one which provided the worst ever customer service one could imagine and yet Tiffany calls her so innocent and expected us to feel bad for her when Tanya is making a joke on us and commenting that it should be so difficult to clear cockroaches ours elf (customer) - we were in shock by now. Can write more about these unprofessional people working at this place but what a disgrace to Marriott for putting such people to work with no 0 training. Hard to explain the manager's attitude. she has 0 regard, courtesy, she was only worried taking video of customer's frustration to save her a** in case she gets caught. so sad and pathetic. And she will walk away during conversation, so unprofessional and rude.

My sincere advice, don't go with family, don't think you will be treated well if you are a loyal customer to Marriott. Good hotel, poor staff and...
