The element in Baton Rouge did not disappoint. If you need a place to sleep and don’t want a basic hotel, go check them out. Being a member has its perks too because Not only did they upgrade my room due to being sold out of the one I paid for upon arrival, they had no extra hidden fees associated with it. I knew I had to be here early morning and I’m glad I decided to stay instead of driving an hour to get home then back. Highly recommended stay. Wish I could of had some family to occupy all this space tho because I would of loved to fire up that stove and grill outside 😂

Upon parking the first thing you experience is check in. This was hands down the worse check in I have ever experienced at a hotel. On google this is noted as a three star. I think Marriott has this much lower. But on check in I was not greeted, not told about the hotel, not told my room number or where the elevators are to get to the room. This was a horrible start. The room and hotel for being new already show some aging. Some vents are rusted, the racks in the shower are falling off the wall or weren’t attached fully from the start. The room was clean and fully stocked with towels. The shower gel and shampoo are the big bottles built in the wall and where full. The towels smelled clean. The sheets also smelled fresh. The next morning I went down for breakfast, after calling the front desk to see when they started serving as I was not told when I checked in. The two lady’s working the counter are amazing!!!! They made the hotel stay way better. If it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t of rated this hotel so high. They have a great personality and know how to cook up some great breakfast tacos. The older lady that took my order and made the tacos was the nicest and should be employee of the year at this hotel. Last point the pool, it was dirty so I did not use it or that area around it. After that was check out and it was simple and start forward. In the end good hotel if you just need a place to stay for a few days. One last thing, they have a tea bar in the evening with loose tea brewed fresh. I wish I was told about this upon checking in. Just makes you wonder what else I missed out on.

My husband and I were traveling from Houston to Oxford and after a horrific drive that took seven hours we went 45 minutes out of our direction to stay at an element hotel. We did this because we were so impressed with the last element hotel we stayed at in Dallas, Unfortunately, this experience was horrible.

My first complaint was there is no way to get ice without having to go through the front desk. The hotel was very busy and the lady behind the counter was helping customers so we had to wait over 30 minutes just to get ice. Not to mention anytime you wanted ice after that, you would have to get dressed get in the elevator go to the front desk and hope the lady behind the counter wasn’t busy in order to get you more. Secondly, we didn’t notice until the middle of the night that we only were given a quarter of a roll of toilet paper therefore we ran out of toilet paper. Thirdly, And most importantly, the bedding was horrific. We had four king-size pillows on our bed that were so thin we had to get the extra comforter out of the closet and use as a pillow. Neither my husband or myself slept at all the entire night.. It’s very disappointing because we went out of our way to stay at an element. I understand people may take advantage of the icemakers, then give people at least two ice buckets of ice and then charge them after that but nobody should have to go to their room change clothes relax and get back out of bed to go down the elevator to get ice.

The pillows on the bed were so unbelievably bad words cannot express it enough..

Both ladies working the front desk when we checked in and when we checked out, we’re very nice and understood why you were so disappointed.

My husband and I travel to see our children on a regular basis and thought the element hotel would be our one stop every time we would go to Oxford unfortunately that is not going to happen. I hope you take our advice and think about ways to change and improve your hotel Because the element we stayed at in Dallas was top-notch and I would recommend...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel, and it was very bad experience.

First and foremost, the TV in my room was broken. It's 2023, and I expected a functioning television, but instead, I was greeted with a static-filled screen and no access to any channels. I immediately reported this issue to the front desk, and they assured me that it would be fixed promptly.

The second issue that added to my frustration was the broken shade blinds in my room. These blinds were inoperable, and I couldn't control the amount of natural light coming into my room. I informed the front desk about this problem as well, and just like with the TV, they assured me that it would be taken care of.

What makes this experience even more frustrating is the fact that I reported both the broken TV and the non-functional blinds to the front desk two days in a row. Each time, I was met with the same empty promises that they would be fixed, but nothing happened. I couldn't relax in my room with a non-functioning TV, and I had to endure the bright, early morning sunlight invading my room without the ability to control it.

To make matters worse, it's now my third night here, and neither the TV nor the shade blinds have been fixed. The lack of follow-through on the part of the hotel staff is astonishing. It's as if they have no regard for their guests' comfort or satisfaction.

I can't recommend this hotel to anyone, given the state of disrepair in the rooms and the lack of attention to guest concerns. It's been a disappointing and frustrating stay, and I won't be returning to this establishment in the future. Save yourself the trouble and find a hotel that actually cares about its guests'...
