Sora Sushi — Restaurant in Bell Gardens

As soon as I heard about Sora’s grand opening, I knew I had to check it out, and I'm so glad I did because I've actually already been back two more times since then. I'm a huge fan of sushi, so I was excited to see that Sora serves hand rolls, cut rolls, nigiri sushi, sashimi, and sets. Across the times I've been here, I've tried quite a few of their menu items, and have been surprised by how fresh and delicious everything is here! Amazing quality, and also great value.

The Full Set was only $45, and includes: Edamame, Salmon Sashimi (4 pc), Yellowtail Sushi (2 pc), Albacore Sushi (2 pc), Tuna Sushi (1 pc), Scallop Sushi (1 pc), Amberjack Sushi (1 pc), Jpn Sweet Shrimp Sushi (1 pc), Black Cod Sushi (1 pc), Fish Cut Roll (4 pc), and Lobster Cut Roll (4 pc). So this is a great option if you want to try a lot of different items. I've ordered this twice.

Aside from the full set and 3 cut roll set which I also really love, my favorites are the Seared Black Cod nigiri sushi, and the tuna nigiri sushi.

All three times I've been here, I've eaten at the sushi bar, but I see lots of people picking up their orders as takeout, and I heard you can also order and have it delivered to your table. Definitely exceeded my expectations and I look forward to continuing...

Popular DTLA Sushi Chef Chris Suh has found a new sushi project inside the Bicycle Club Casino with Sora Omakase in the city of Bell Gardens, CA.

This is great news for Bicycle Club Casino players and people who are near the casino to access high quality sushi without traveling to DTLA. Keep in mind, the sophistication to the menu is elevated and it does not include creative rolls such as your Dragon or Volcano Rolls. The menu simply includes high quality nigiri, handroll, sashimi and cut rolls of just really fresh fish and delicious seasoned rice. When the fish is this fresh, soy sauce isn’t even needed.

Minus a star for lack of vibes...

We were surprised to find this spot that serves up handrolls, nigiri, and sashimi at their sushi bar when we were at the Bicycle Casino.

We tried a couple of sets while chilling with some sake and beer people watching. The staff were so nice helping us choose and brought out our food pretty quickly.

We were actually super impressed by what a great deal this all was. You get so many great cuts of fish in these sets and the quality is top notch. This style is more close to the style in Japan too, focusing on the purity of the fish as opposed to the creative saucy rolls we have over here. We'd definitely go back for more!
