IHOP — Restaurant in Bell Gardens

If I had the choice for a 0 star, for services, I would have chosen to give 0 stars, but unfortunately, its not a choice. I walked in to place an order to go from the house specials..."House Faves", and a short, baled gentleman who was standing at the counter told me me that he would not sell anything on the advertised specials because the specials applied ONLY TO CUSTOMERS EATING INSIDE THE DINNER. I then asked this person what the difference was if my order was to go, or to eat there? This employee had the audacity to say that: "if i ate in, there would ba a good ambient!", so i asked a second time and and then he said the same thing and then he walked away from me. I left and decided to call and speak to the manager and it was then when he informed me he was the manager. I asked for his name and he said it was "Uribe". I will definitely escalade this to corporate because i felt discriminate on. When I spoke to him on the phone, I was expecting for him to apologize and say he made a mistake or that he was joking, but he stated three times that what he told me was an establishment policy, so I told he was being audio recorder and he said "that was fine!". I informed him that the restaurant has to legally post that on-line or on the advertisement, but he just repeted that it was there policy. I did not find anything online or posted anywhere at the establishment so I called a different restaurant and drove farther to another establishment and they told me that was totally incorrect! I will most definitely put this person on yelp, but I honestly think that just because of this UNPROFESSIONAL person, the establishment or other employees should not have to pay! I will never dine at this place and will definitely tell everyone I know about my bad experience...

I've been here before but this past weekend was it for us. I took my mother & daughter for breakfast & about 5 minutes into my mom's meal, she took a fork full of food & pulled a hair out of her mouth. I called the waitress, told her quietly & showed her the long hair that came out. She didn't apologize or anything, took the plate & asked if we wanted a replacement, which my mom said yes to. About 3 minutes later, my daughter grabs her bread to move it to my plate & along with her bread, pulled out from her mash potato was another long hair. I decided to call the manager, Tony, (knew he was the manager because he was dressed differently & was helping the staff, showed him what was pulled from her plate & told him that we had just sent my mom's food back for the same reason. He said that he tries his best to have the staff pull their hair back when cooking & I said that I understood. He asked what we wanted to do & my daughter asked for a replacement, which he was okay with. Both their food came out & about 2 seconds latwr my daughter pointed out yet another hair in the Mac n Cheese. We called the waitress, showed her & she took it to the back, the manager came out, placed both hands on the edge of our table & said, "This is too much, no?" I said, yeah, it is. He came up to us short of accusing us of doing it on purpose. I never asked for a discount, never said I wasn't going to pay, as a matter of fact, I paid about $70 in total. He just seemed so unapologetic & to make us feel like we placed the hair in the food, like c'mon. They've got cameras, they could have 100% checked them before coming at us like that....

I give it 4 stars it was nice it was clean the service was good at least our waitress was good the maitre d she was kind of of snooty but because of the fact that she wouldn't let us have a high chair where we were sitting and she was really snotty about it I understand why but she could have worded it another way and she could have been nicer about it but other than that it was okay because of the person that I was having breakfast with we had a nice time and we could have a nice conversation and we didn't have to yell and we could talk to each other without having to repeat ourselves and stuff so it was really nice and I enjoyed my time with my friend so that was a plus it made it very comfortable to eat there was my first time eating in that IHOP so I just might eat there again if I'm in the area cuz it's not in my area it's out of my...
