If I could give this place zero stars, I so would! I stayed here recently with family. I had booked two rooms with this place and one room was ready upon check in. After an hour goes by, I decided to see if my suite was ready and it wasn’t even available. They told me that the site glitched and there wasn’t any suite available. Which frustrated me as I wouldn’t have stayed here if that suite wasn’t available. You guys need to do a better job at keeping track of what’s available and what’s not. The lady at front desk was rude and spoke English poorly. She acted as if giving me a two queen bedroom was a favor, but it was a downgrade. I paid extra money for this suite and used my one key cash via Expedia and it didn’t do me any good to use it, as I may have just booked a two queen bedroom. She lowered the rate a little bit but not by much. Then I was stuck staying here as I’d be charged for the one room due to the staff’s mistake.
Aside from that, this hotel is very gross as well. The carpet was very dirty and old. Not to mention, side door wasn’t open to get into hotel and we had to circle all the way around to get back in. Later that night, I see that door propped open and all kinds of people wandering throughout the hotel. There were scratches all over the doors and signs peeling off the walls. Place looked terrible and smelt musty. Bathroom door doesn’t have a lock and there was a huge green light on ceiling that kept blinking all night long to be a nuisance when trying to sleep. Trying to read the channels list was terrible as well, the writing was very blurry and hard to read. I also don’t believe guests should have to ask for wifi password if it’s offered. It wasn’t visible on any papers when I got to my room. Again the lady front desk was annoyed when I asked for this. Lastly, don’t expect much for breakfast. The bread was stale and there wasn’t much for food and the breakfast room was very dirty. I will not be back and don’t recommend this...
Read moreI stayed here while visiting Bemidji for a wedding. The stay was for one night. The first impressions were to be expected. Decor was a bit dated and the room felt like it could use some updating. It was a warm day so we had the AC going. The room always felt damp with humidity. It made getting to sleep a little harder. The bed and pillows were comfy. We opted for a king and were pleased. Most of the bathroom fixtures/toilet were all in need of tightening as most were loose and wobbled with use. They had roughly a 32" LCD TV for your viewing pleasure and a mini fridge to store items. While we paid just shy of $100 I feel it should have been more like a $75 stay. The continental breakfast consisted of the usual coffee, cereal, bagels, and waffle iron maker setup. We got up around 9am and it was packed so there was nowhere to sit. We grabbed some items and just headed out. It looked like a girls softball team was staying so that might have been why there was no seating. There is a bar/grill right in the same parking lot with an Applebee's just across the street. Very convenient if you want drinks and some appetizers on your way back to the hotel. I would stay here again but if I found a better price/value hotel nearby I'd probably be giving that a...
Read moreIf you're staying here for a night you can't beat it for the price. However, my boyfriend and I stayed for 4 days, 3 nights and there were a few things that became inconvenient over time. We were in a room in an site 2 parking lots away from the main building. Breakfast, ice, vending, etc. are all in the main building. There was a door to get into the side of this building (which would be the closest to our building) but the lock that should have accepted our pass key was broken. That resulted in us walking around to the front of the building to get to the breakfast lounge which is practically right by the broken side door lol. These seem quite minor as far as inconveniences go, I'm just speaking from a place of limited mobility. We didn't think to ask whether or not the hotel is all one big unit when reserving the room, but we weren't asked if we needed to be closer to amenities either. I don't want to come down too hard on them for this, it's a common thing that gets overlooked. I'm not upset, and I will most likely stay here again in the future because we were otherwise quite pleased. I would merely suggest having your concierges start asking whether or not guests have...
