Overall, great 18 hole course. I'm pretty new to disc golf, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend this course for beginners because it is a very wooded course, and that makes it fairly challenging. Accuracy is key as you'll have to be dodging trees on almost every hole. However, each hole is very clearly marked with the distance and what par it is (almost all holes are par 3). Also, most holes have the option of two different tee boxes - pro or amateur. If you are new to disc golf, I'd recommend skipping hole 16, as it involves throwing over a good sized pond, and there is a relatively good chance you'll lose your disc...

There's one hole that goes over a pond so, if you're a beginner, be careful! I have family that live in Bemidji so, when I'm in the area, I love coming here! There's a league that takes place during the summer into the fall time. Not sure about the specifics, but you'll eventually run into someone who knows something about it if you're interested. Read moreGreat place to play if you're not a beginner and want a challenge. There is one hole that goes across water. I imagine if it's the rainy season or overland snow melt, there are a few other areas where you could lose your disk in water. There is lots of shade. Which makes it fun to try and avoid trees. I'd recommend a disk that is any color but green. We lost two discs. The parking lot is small. There were a lot of cars but not a lot of players. The park is also a cross country ski trail, so there were more people going for walks then there...
