I need to make a few things clear, I have huge respect for places that hire kids, this resturant is full of child labor...I strongly disagree with anyone who goes out of their way to make anyone's life harder especially if they are at work contributing to society.
So my family and I run through the drive through, my wife is excited about the seasonal coolers, they are delicious. We hit the drive through around dinner rush time, in all fairness it's busy. We order 2 large coolers and a concrete mixer for my son. The girl taking our order mistakenly leaves her mic open and we can hear her in the drive through lane say. "Where's so and so, I don't know how to do this." We get up to the window and she takes our money and tells us to wait at the window. We wait approx 30 minutes at the window and the line of cars is backing out into dondelingers. The window opens and someone else is handing us our beverages, mine was a small, I mentioned that we had paid for a large. They took it back and within 30 seconds I had a large...with a variety of flavors and ice creams I hadn't ordered mixed in with my original order.
I drove around the building and walked through the front door with my container of whatever they could find laying around to stick in my cup. As I walk through the front door I see the little girl who took my order bawling her eyes out in a corner acting like she had just been fired from her first job, I didn't want to address this poor kiddo she had obviously been addressed enough. I approach the counter and say to another child behind the counter that I'd like a refund for my beverage. She explained to me that she didn't know how to do that. I told her it was fine and asked her if I could speak to someone that does. She turned atound and waved at the same person who had served me my drinks in place of the little girl who had taken my order. This person who I assumed was the supervisor made eye contact with me and walked to the back and did not return. The other little girl behind the counter appologized I told her it wasn't her fault and set the drink on the counter and walked out.
I'm totally cool with kids getting jobs, making mistakes, learning from them so on and so forth...I got all those opportunities and I'm patient enough to wait for others to learn their lessons and grow especially all of the childeren entering the work force.
What I can't abide is complacent adults who are trying to take my money. Twice I heard from childeren say they didn't know how to do something and immediately look for a solution, twice I saw how that solution operated. I wasn't interested in getting another child fired so I walked away. Fortunately I won't be walking away from this establishment again not to eat and never to pick up any of the kiddos I know from work. This place has a lot going for it but if the solution to all it's problems are to punish childeren when it desperately needs an adult on the floor, then I have had my eyes opened. I'm curious about how these childeren are compensated to put up with this kind of stress from management.
Whoever you are, these kids are making you money, and they could use your support, it's abhorrent obvious that they...
Read moreWe have gone to Culver’s for lunch or dinner at least twice a week during the shutdown. Every single time something is wrong with our order. Sometimes we live with it. Sometimes we have to go back...those are the worst times. Tonight was likely the end of our visits to Culver’s. The sandwich was incorrect and they left out my dog’s hamburger patty. I noticed the hamburger patty right away, so that was only an additional 4-5 minutes. We parked to have dinner and the sandwich, which was supposed to be a Pork Tenderloin was very spicy. I called and explained that we received the wrong order, and she told us to get back in line. I asked why...she said it was slow. So? Why can’t you just bring it out the door? I waited for two cars to place their orders. When I told them why I was back, a different woman asked why we got back in line. I told her I was mystified. I drove up to the window, and they had the sandwich I ordered. I requested fresh fries, because they were cold. He asked why I hadn’t eaten them when they were hot. He went on about it, questioning my request, and finally brought the fries, with some rude remark. Seriously, did that $.50 or whatever the fries cost, come out of his pay? And afterwards I realized that another customer must have returned the sandwich, and therefore touched it. That’s unacceptable. Why are so many of the employees at the Bemidji Culver’s so difficult? Why don’t they know how to provide good customer service? Why do I feel like I’m always punished when they make a mistake? Not...
Read more16 people on staff (or at least standing behind the counter with name tags), most of them talking about what party they were going to or what kind of new jeans there friends have. Either way 24 minute wait for ordering inside at the counter for a to-go order for one person. This was 245 pm on Wednesday the 5th of july 2023. I own and operate my own business in central mn, and I understand employees but where was the manager? There was one young man leaning on the counter with his back to the kitchen that never moved once while we were there, I believe he wanted to work, and maybe he was given a task, but no one ever told him what to do while we were there. The other young man who was placing food on the trays could not decide of he could add the cheese curd bag to the current tray he was loading or if he should start another tray, i had to chuckle at this 6 minute debacle. I enjoy culvers food and am regular customer but i had to post this about this location. Craig Culver himself would be very disappointed. If this is a franchise location i hope the owners had fun on there vacation. We wont be patronizing this establishment in the...
