Rodeway Inn Benton — Hotel in Benton

The description of this hotel is SUPER misleading. 1/10 experience, and I absolutely do not recommend staying here. You can read about our experience below:||Cons: Let’s start with the check-in process. The guy was friendly, but this hotel still uses a weird paper card system and has you re-write all of your information on a card at check-in. After check-in they inform you the “free hot breakfast” is a LIE and that they don’t serve any breakfast or even provide coffee (not even in the rooms). They say the reason is because they don’t have the space….but that’s ridiculous because they do. The owners simply don’t want to spend the movie to provide this service. Next, the only doors that lock are the ones to your room. The door leading to the corridor doesn’t lock even though there is a key entry. The windows don’t lock either and are just kept closed with those burglar bars. The room itself is old. This wouldn’t be an issue if it was kept clean, but it absolutely was not kept clean. It looked like someone had lied in the bed before we got there as it was wrinkly. There were dead bugs on the floor, a used tissue, hairs in the bathroom and on the toilet, dead baby roaches in the drawers, and a roach trap in the room. Someone had also stuffed a tissue in the peep hole…not iré why. Additionally, the location does NOT feel safe as it is poorly lit and there’s literally a wrecked car just sitting [mostly] underneath a tarp in the corner of the property. ||Pro: Bed was comfortable to be such a gross room. We didn’t notice the appearance of bed bugs anywhere. ||TL;DR Don’t stay here. Just find somewhere else....

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT STAY HERE.

This place actually OWES me stars. I don't even want to give them one. I didn't even stay here, BUT YOU SHOULD READ THIS REVIEW ANYWAY. I booked online through Expedia, and on the website it says they're pet friendly. When I get there, the woman behind the counter didn't have my information/reservation, and I was concerned about that. Then when I began rebooking a room, I mentioned that I had my cats.

She said they do not allow pets. I stated on the website that it said they did, and she just firmly said no. So I left. She didn't try to stop me and what was the point??? My pets can't sleep in the car.

After booking a new hotel and calling Expedia to get a refund, I found out the hotel has a cancellation policy, which means they charged me even though I'm not sleeping there. So Expedia called the hotel to get my money back, and the Americas Best Inn Benton lady had the AUDACITY to tell the Expedia representative that she was trying to be accommodating to me and my cats (which is false) so no refund for me.

I'm fighting this, but for anyone who read this far, DO NOT STAY HERE. It smelled like cigarettes, the location wasn't great, and it wasn't very clean (and I only made it as far as the lobby).

Do yourself a favor and sleep literally...

Honestly it was the worst stay of my life. There was a needle hidden in a tissue box in the bathroom, and after inspection of the needle we found out that it was a drug needle. There were stash holes in several places throughout the room we stayed in. There was a couple that was arguing until the early hours of the morning on my first night. The people who work the front desk don't do their jobs properly and they are extremely rude. One lady who works there screamed at me while I was trying to get a new room key. I was promised a refund for both nights I was there and it's been over a week and I still haven't gotten it. I've called twice about it and they keep telling me to call back and talk to the guy who promised me the refund and every time I call I never get to talk to him. The place is surrounded by, and even have guest who stay there, who are junkies and addicts. There were two men that harassed me and my friend in the morning when we were trying to get breakfast and the guy at the desk just watched and let it happen. If you want better luck at funding a place to stay, go a few towns over and pay the extra money because I promise it...
