The Mighty Crab — Restaurant in Benton

Long post!! So I just left the Mighty Crab plus in Benton. After being seated, 2 young ladies come over to take our drink order. One explains that she's training the other. I order a frozen strawberry margarita. Once my drink order arrives, I immediately taste it. It tasted nothing like strawberry anything. It had an aftertaste and it was barely frozen. I hate sending food/drinks back, so I was just planning to tough it out. I took another sip, its disgusting. I told the waitresses I wanted to send the drink back for another flavor, because my drink didnt taste anything like strawberry. The girls take my drink back to the bar. They return a few minutes later saying "they said all alcohol sales are final. If you want another flavor, we will have to charge you for 2". First off, I didnt ask for the drink to be refunded, I simply asked for a different flavor. So, I have to be penalized because the bartender doesn't know how to mix drinks??! Cool, I didn't even ask to speak to the manager like I normally would. Strike 1 for Mighty Crab. We proceed to order our food. I got a seafood bag with 1/2 a pound of snowcrab and half a pound of sausage. I should have received 2 crab clusters for my half a pound. When they brought my bag, there was no sausage in it. I let my waitress know immediately. So, after about 10 minutes a whole new waitress comes out asking me for one of my crab clusters back. Im confused because I ordered crab legs and sausage. She proceeds to tell me they accidentally gave me 3 clusters instead of 2 and no sausage. So in order to get my sausage I needed to give her 1 of the clusters back. Is you cool??! Did I hear you right??! Lol so in order to get my sausage, I need to return one of the clusters. So yall can do what with it? I didnt even realize I had 3 instead of 2. I had already touched all over it and everything. So I gave it back. They probably turned right around and served it to someone else. It took them an additional 20 minutes to return with my sausage. Strike 2 for Mighty Crab. It doesn't matter if the food was good or not, my overall experience was a 0/10. There will not be a strike 3 because I will never be back. Local restaurants wonder why they cant stay in business, this is why. People are spending their hard earned money in their establishments and this is the kind of service they are delivering. This restaurant lacks poor management. And horrible business etiquette. They provide horrible service and not expect horrible reviews. This will be your most honest review. If you come here, plan to eat some seafood. We started out with a couple of drinks that came out cold 🥶 . Recommend you get some water with your meal because seafood is salty in general. My husband and I shared the choose your seafood with 1/2 lb of shrimp, 1 lb of snow crab legs, 2lbs of crawfish, 1/2 lb of sausage, and added some mushrooms. This came with potatoes and 4 pieces of corn. For our flavor we chose Cajun and Garlic Butter and for our spice level we chose Medium. For all this was about $100 not including tip.

All that being said everything was amazing. Ratings: Crawfish: 7/10 crawfish had that dirty water taste and you could tell it was a day old. Definitely recommend dipping it in the juice for better flavor. Don’t suck the head of this crawfish. Sausage: 10/10 it’s andouille sausage what more can I say about that! Worth adding. Mushroom: 10/10 Snow crab legs: 10/10 very easy pull and not a lot of work. The flavor was amazing! Shrimp: 10/10 for some people it’s hard not to over cook the shrimp. Really surprised we did not get rubbery shrimp. Potato’s: 8/10 Reason why for the rating is because they didn’t use the classic red potatoes, but still good for what they had. Corn: 11/10 GOTTA LOVE THAT CORN.

Overall I was impressed by the inside, very eye appealing and mostly clean. Will say that the women’s restroom didn’t go with the restaurant at all. Give that restroom a 6/10.

As for the staff I recommend Aubrey. Very sweet lady that guided us through the menu. Very pleasant and patient with us as we asked tons of questions. She was our go to and will be again in the future. It was nice to have someone down to earth and loved everything about the menu and gave us some of her suggestions. Absolutely worst service food and management I have ever experienced.

Placed my order along with 6 other people. They all received their meals, and I did not. The waiter Chase then puts the orede in. Comes back and tells me that they had an injury in the kitchen, which is why my food didn't come out. I waited 20 more minutes for it to come out when it was completely wrong. I tried to eat it but it was so tasteless that I couldn't. They just boiled my food with no seasonings. Of course, our waiter is nowhere to be found. He is socializing with an old friend. I tell another waitress the issue, wait 20+ minutes chase finally comes to check on us, by then I'm over it! I told him that I was not eating it and to cancel my order, which he did no issue. I then had to sit and watch everyone else eat. They got finished and went to pay, and their tickets were completely wrong. They had 18% added to them for a party of 6 or more, and I didn't eat, so there were only 5 guest now. They did offer to boil me something Togo bit I refused, cold seafood boil didn't sounds to good. Keep in mind it's now 9:00 pm. The manager wouldn't take the 18% off best she could do was 10% discount and free drinks (2 had waters only) at that point I left the restaurant and went to find somewhere to eat. Ended up by myself eating Mexican food at El Herradero Mexican bar & grill. Which is fantastic, by the way! Highly recommended.
