Room was clean, and priced competitively for what was offered. We did have some slight issues, but nothing to make us want to boycott the place:
You do indeed get what you paid for. We booked a hotel on the low end of the price range based on the advertised indoor pool and king sized rooms with smoking allowed. We did indeed receive a room with those amenities.
If we were to need a room with the same requirements (price and smoking) in that area again, we would not hesitate to stay there again. However, forewarned is forearmed. If I were to stay there again I would bring my own pillows as well as a blanket, as the one on the bed was no warmer than a sheet. The bed was extra firm with no mattress pad, but this wasn't a deal-breaker for us - but again, forewarned is forearmed. There is a blow dryer, iron and board, clothes pole, microwave, mini-fridge, ample towels, coffee maker and one pack of coffee in the room. There is NO: phone, adequate pillows, enclosed closet, warm blankets, or ample toiletries (small hand soap and one bottle all-in-one). The room is dated but clean.
The last issue we had was not a fault of the employees or hotel chain, but would have been nice to be aware of when making the decision which hotel to book: there was road repair/construction with heavy equipment directly beyond the parking lot all night, so the noise interrupted our sleep multiple times, and the unexpected traffic problems forced us to end up utilizing a taxi to get to where we were going so that we didn't present problems with being unfamiliar with the area. Do, we ended up not sleeping well and incurring $60 in taxi costs we hadn't budgeted for. But again, this was not a fault of staff or company, but did effect...
Read moreMy family and I had a negative experience at this hotel recently (June 2022.) We had booked two rooms for six days. We wanted to leave the first night; however, due to the hotel having our credit card info, we decided to rough it out. The first disappointment was finding out their indoor pool is closed despite the advertisment on the internet and on their sign. Our three kiddos were heart broken. We noticed the water hadnt been drained from the pool and it smelled terribly. Another disappoint is having no regular/continental breakfast. There was a day or two they did had pastries availible. Althougn the rooms were a decent size, they smelled like animals and previous tobacco smoke. The sheets had cigarette burns and stains. The shower curtain was dirty, smelled like mildew, and had mold on it. The ironing board had stains. The coffee pot was older than I am. They provided us with only two towels. The mini fridge didnt stay cold. In both rooms we had, when the door was shut all the way, there was still a gap in the door as if it wasnt shut completely. Another hudge disappointment was the housekeeping - throughout the six days, one of our rooms had the trash taken out, the bed made, and clean towels almost daily. But our other room - there was only one day the trash got taken out and the bed made and this was only because we had asked the front desk to do so. Although the bed was made, they never put clean sheets on the bed in either room throughout the entire stay. Overall, if you are debating wether to stay at this hotel or not, i would strongly advise anyone to...
Read moreAs a GM of another hotel I tend to be pretty picky because I know how I run mine, however on the flip side of that I also know what obstacles come with running a hotel, dealing with owners, and staff. With that being said..... This hotel is extremely run down & outdated. It's VERY obvious ownership does not seem to care about what they have. Furniture is worn out, stained, and outdated. Coffee pots are falling apart, racks in fridges are broken & outside is rusty, microwave is rusting on the inside, wallpaper is falling off the walls, bed frames are falling apart, light switch covers are broken, lamp shades are broke, PTAC Unit (A/C) cover was broke & knobs were missing, and more issues too numerous to list.....Management Issue: Staff needs trained on legal rules of Service Animals: They are NOT a pet, legally you cannot charge a fee for them nor ask for documentation of any kind.....Housekeeping Issues: bathroom floors had ALOT of hair & dirt, coffee pot was dirty, dirt & debris on floors, room key from previous guest laying on desk, sticky substance on nightstand, hair and debris in drawers, toilet was dirty, microwave tray had dried food on it, there was some black marks on the side of the tub that easily came off with a rag, and a few other issues. The only things that seemed to be clean were the sheets on the bed (except they had holes), the TV, and the mirror. This could be a nice hotel if ownership, management, and housekeeping would take pride in...
