I drove 40 minutes round trip, twice to pickup my app order of 2 bowls + sides. Gas & vehicle wear & tear is expensive as well as my time. Both times the orders were incorrect with ingridents, portion amounts, & stale chips. 1 order was worse & the ticket had some else's name. The 1st time I tried to call the store directly but it went to an automated system. This could have been easily resolved over the phone. So, I drove back to the store to have the order corrected. I asked for the manager. He was on the phone. I had to wait. I brought the food & explained the problem. He was polite, apologized, took the food & said he would personally prepare the order. I offered my app order on my phone so he could make it correctly. He said he could look it up. I even asked if he was sure because I wanted the order to be correct. To me, it was clear he had been told not to provide a local number to the store. He returned with my order. I picked up the bag. The bag was much lighter but I was so frustrated and hungry, I left, grateful to have my food prepared by the manager. I drove back home to find the order was incorrect again and the food portions was about half the amount of the 1st order. Everything was below the top of the bottom bowl. Portion size was completely different than the 1st order. The chips were stale. The guac was missing on 1. There was maybe a teaspoon of sour cream, meat - what meat, rice lots of it, salsas lots, lettuce very little, etc. The top had nothing in it.
He would not provide me with a local phone number nor was it online. If a local phone # had been available, I would not have had to make a 2nd trip. A refund could have been offered.
Bt the time I got home, it was late. I was hungry & I ended up eating at 9PM. Not good.
I love Chipolte. It was a weekly meal back in TX, the portions filled the bottom bowl & were piled high that the employees would press the top down to close it.
Most customers will not say anything at all & just not return. Others will just complain. One cannot improve from criticism but they can improve with constructive criticism. These comments are just that. To help make this store representative of the Chipolte brand & it's balanced flavorful ingridents. The comments are to help in consistency food measurements, staying true to Chipolte's recipe, customers paying for more than alloted measurements (i.e double meat), trained employees, manager's authority to remedy situation, indirectly drive customers to use Chipolte App, & above all customer satisfaction resulting in repeat business.
I suggest you have a policy when orders are incorrect. Measure portions for each item. This will allow for the Chipolte balance & taste (i.e. not over powered with salsa, not enough meat, too much rice & if people want double meat, they can pay for an add'l meat). Retrain managers & staff to follow the portion controls representing Chipolte's recipes & brand. Allow managers to compensate customers for incorrect orders. Provide a credit on the app for the exact order. If they don't have the app this is a good way to get people to use the app. Help them download it or give them a coupon good for 30 days for...
Read moreThis place gets a lot of bad reviews...here's another one... I had a horrible morning at work, coworkers forgot to include me in the group-office lunch order from Chikfila, so I decided to drive cross town to get some lunch at chipotle in Bentonville. I was hoping for a quick, healthy meal to change the day.
I arrived around 2pm (after lunch hour rush mind you), walked in and saw I was the only customer. No one greeted me but I politely waited in line while the 6+ workers finished what they were doing, ive worked in a restuarant and retail setting(s) before and understand 'getting to a stopping point'. Now, dont forget Im on my timed lunch break and I had already driven across town to eat here. After a minute another customer comes in.
Finally someone yells, Jacob you got a line. Jacob comes over a minute later to take my order. No greeting just asks what i want. I order a chicken salad. Jacob fails to offer me a container of chipotle's signature salad dressing and starts rushing me through my order. I know what I want so I am already going through the ordering process at a fast pace. We get to the beans and before I can finish the word bla-, Jacob has already spooned a big serving of black bean LIQUID and dumped it on the salad. Had Jacob not been rushing through my order he would have heard me say 'but' drain the beans before spreading on the salad. So I sighed a grunt of disapproval and said I wanted you to drain the beans.
You see, I cannot eat an entire meal in one sitting, so I purchase the meal with intention to eat for lunch and dinner. They love to pour all this liquid on the food so that the food container softens and leaks over your belongings, nevermind how the excess liquid makes the lettuce all limpy and gross. So I ask Jacob to start over and to drain the beans. Two more customers walk in.
Jacob then says aloud 'You dont have to be so RUDE'. Im a little stunned at this, I have to take a second and ask myself, did this kid who just poured a half cup of black bean liquid on my salad, that im about to pay $10 for, just call ME rude in front of all these customers and at least 5 other workers. Nuh-uh. I will not be talked to in that manner by some fast food worker who was late to take my order, rushing through my order and skipping ingredients. I will not be called rude for pointing out a mistake that any common person would avoid. Who the f@ck pours bean juice all over a salad. Jacob at Chipotle does. Horrible, horrible, horrible service.
Do yourself a favor and go to Moe's. Dont waste you time, money, or stomach space at...
Read moreThe food/atmosphere is no different than any other Chipotles elsewhere. What honestly makes this location stand-alone is its abysmal service. For example, they are notorious for not including your drinks with delivery orders. This has been the case with about half of my delivery orders over the last year.
One egregious occasion was when they inexplicably "forgot" to include the four bottles of Mexican Coke I ordered with my family's meal, thinking that they might miss a drink here or there, but surely there is no way they would miss not packing four bottles of coke with an order. Nope. Wrong. Calling customer service is as worthless as navigating the app (at best, expect a coupon for one free drink with a limit of one free drink per order AND expires in 1 month, even though you have already paid for these items). After getting no human contact via the app and their phone line, I went to Chipotle to get the four bottles I had already paid for. Their manager was working that night behind the register, grabbing drinks for orders and doing quality checks on delivery orders before placing them out for pick-up. When I confronted him about missing the four Cokes from our delivery order, he gave me an eye-roll before grabbing the bottles for our order. He did not say a single word to me during this exchange: no sorry, no nothing. As the manager and one responsible that night for ensuring all items were included in their order before placing them ready for pick up, I immediately asked him how he allowed this error to occur. He immediately gave me sharp sarcasm while acknowledging that missing my drinks must be a "big deal" before refusing to apologize. I told him how this had been a pattern I'd noticed over several months, and as manager, he should care. Again, he remained indifferent. At this point, I disengaged with him and left, never to be back since. Instead, I'll drive an extra 30 minutes to the nearest Chipotle, which has much better quality and service, and I suggest you all...
