I arrived to the property, checked in, and made my way to the room. The check in process was easy and all seemed “ok”… a littlesmelly due to tenants smoking in rooms (for example my NON smoking room, reeked of cigarettes).||||Upon reaching my room I noticed all the room numbers were taped and written in with permanent marker… odd but alright.||||Once I walked in that when I immediately noticed the smell of smoke (as mentioned above), and also began noticing and group of different “room discrepancies” and even safety code violations.||||What I saw…||||1.) the light fixture above the bed:||||the cover to the light was broken and hanging down on one end and another portion of the same light cover had something stained on it.||||2.) the amenities listed online pertaining to my room were not actually included (like a fridge).||||The bathroom:||||1.) the shower head was coming out of a literal hole in the wall about 2-3” in diameter.||||2.) the ceiling fan cover was broken and the fan hole was completely exposed.||||3.) the light fixture for the “heat lamp” was not only exposed completely due to the cover being broken but there was also no light in the socket and had live power (extreme fire/electrical hazard).||||… upon noticing all this I immediately went down stairs and brought it to the attention of the front desk clerk.||||Her only response to all the above was… “oh, those room don’t come with amenities, only our sweets do” at which time I pulled up there website and showed her what is listed to which she responded “well there’s nothing I can do”.||||* I’d like to remind you per DOT regulations there was nothing I could do either.||||I made it clear this was not ok and I would refused to have my deposit garnished for anything in the room…||||Upon going back upstairs I felt like that would be it and my intent was to just take a shower and leave as soon as I could…I turned on the shower letting it warm while I was grabbing my change of clothes. Upon stepping in the shower I immediately realized the water was cold, having though I mistakenly set the knob incorrectly I turned it and it got even colder!||||I went down stairs and brought this new discrepancy to the clerk to which she replied “oh, yeah… the water boiler has been broke, the entire building hasn’t had hot water”||||I was stunned… at that very moment another potential customer was asking about room prices when she responded but didn’t mention anything about the “no hot water” I made mention. The patrons did not end up booking.||||There response to this was to call the police and have me removed from the premises for disrupting there business. They also did so without refunding the 145 dollars spent on the room.||||I have never in my entire adult/ professional life have I been treated so horribly as a patron somewhere (I’m 35 years old and a business owner of a pressure washing service company) and was completely appalled at there customer service as well as there lack of concern/care for there patrons.||||To back up I requested to speak with a manager several times to which the clerk could never provide me with name or contact her on her own…||||I’d like to make mention also of another group downstairs at the time locked out of there room… it was 3 older women and an older man. The hotel issued them a room that only had a master key and when they went to dinner and lost it the hotel couldn’t provide them with a remake to get into the room… they were downstairs for 2+ hours (and still after I left).||||This is absolutely obsurd and unbecoming of ANY hotel service company! I will be filing formal complaints with their corporate office, on every social media platform, to include Google, yelp, and other hotel...
Read moreI apologize for breaking your rules and had 5 people (2 children) and 3 dogs (2 over 50 lbs) in one room. Do to unforeseen circumstances the dog watcher could not watch my dogs and they had to travel with us. I always in the past have stayed at Motel 6 because my dogs are welcome to stay with us. The young man who checked us in was very kind, professional and helpful. I was up front with him and did not hide the fact these facts. He never mentioned that it was a problem or I would have taken care of it right then, taking the kids and a dog back to their mother's apt. I would like to mention however, that he was not properly trained on the debit card machine and it did not function properly, as the chip reader would not work. I paid cash for that night, which was fine. I was NOT going to leave my debit card with a stranger though. I then went down later to see if the desk had and emergency supplies as one of my grand daughters needed some pads. The night clerk said no (different guy). I then said I'll just walk next door. I went next door and they were closed. He never said a thing about them being closed, just let me walk over there in the dark, alone after midnight. The next morning I went down to take care of the rest of my stay. The manager was quite rude telling me that I was not allowed to have three dogs in the room and that she could not rent to me. I advised her that if three dogs were a problem I would leave one with my grandkids mother. She then advised me that she would not rent to me because I had five people in the room. Mind you my two grand daughters just wanted to spend extra time with us. But I told the manager that if that was a problem, I would leave my daughter and my granddaughters with their mother that night. Therefore there would be only two people and two dogs in the room. She then advised in that case she would rent to me, but they even saw the third dog there, I would be forced to leave. If I had been thinking I would have just rented two rooms with a connecting door. While paying for the room the manager then asked how big are the dogs. 1is 20 lbs, 1 is about 55 lbs and 1 is 75-80 lbs. She then advised me that she really shouldn't rent to me because they were supposed to be under 50 lbs (I was planning to leave the smallest with my daughter). Therefore, I left the largest dog with my daughter and kept the other two smaller dogs with me. Weirdly, the stay for two people for Friday night cost more than 5 people on Thursday night. Again I apologize for breaking your rules and will plan in the future not to let my granddaughters spend any extra time with us and make sure I only have the smaller dog with us when staying...
Read moreWe were disappointed with our experience. I had made reservations online for the 3rd and 4th of Feb, check out Sunday the 5th. My husband forgot to pack a blow-dryer; I assumed the room would have one. Checked into room 102 evening of the 3rd. Noticed it did not have a blow-dryer. Called the front desk and a very friendly lady helped us. She offered us the adjoining room that was out of order for the use of the hairdryer only. Her prompt help was appreciated. Later, we went to casino. We returned around 3:30 am. We had a lot of things to do in Albuquerque day of the 4th, so we decided to shower. We noticed immediately that there was mold on the ceiling of the shower. I am very sensitive to issues in my environment and I didn't want to risk health issues due to the mold on the ceiling. I went to the front desk and asked the night desk employee what I should do. I asked first if there was another room we could be put in. He said no that since he had already completed his night audit, he was unable to switch us to another room. At the time I talked to him it was between 5 and 5:30am. He said come back at 7 when the lady for the next shift could help us out with getting another room. Instead of being able to have a shower or sleep, we stayed up till 7 to talk to the next shift. At 7am, I went to the front desk, the same employee said the lady for the next shift was not in yet, come back in 30 minutes. Every thirty minutes for the next hour-and-a-half or so, I checked back. No change. I told the him: we need to be able to shower--there simply isn't anyway he could help us? Suddenly, his story changed and now we couldn't switch rooms because the rooms were either dirty or booked and we now have to wait until 11 for a room switch. I was shocked when he then said the issue was our fault that we didn't see the mold when we first walked in.By 9:30 there was still no word of replacement shift to help. I was really fed up by then and he insisted we could be helped by the next shift and to let us know that there was actually no mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, but what we saw was in fact hair dye. The employee was not grossly rude but his demeanor showed he just didn't care and the constantly changing story without explanation for the changes angered me. And it was added insult to be told that what we knew to be mold is hair dye! Tired & frustrated we left about 9:45, unable to wait longer for the so-called next shift to arrive and went to...
