Wow - harsh reviews to read here! I was looking for a hotel in Beverly Hills that was safe, hospitable and wanted spend less than $200/night doing so. If that’s your goal, Maison 140 Beverly Hills is my best recommendation. If you appreciate people, hospitality and location, this hotel is exactly where you want to be. Confidentiality, peace and quiet, and safety were my highest concerns. No signs of homeless camping nearby and both sides of the street were blocked off for parking at the time due to filming. I was just a few minutes from the design district - my ultimate location. Could it use a makeover? Sure. This is Beverly Hills. It’s 2021. We’ve all be unable to travel for a year. Can we show a little compassion now? I think the one reviewer that listed it as “worst place I’ve ever lived” probably should have “lived” somewhere else. Brent was lovely greeting me during my 10:00pm arrival. Ana helped me when I forgot my toothpaste and easily extended my 12:00pm check out to 1:00pm. I think I interacted with maybe 3 other staff members that each were very welcoming and took the time to say hello. There’s no hustle & bustle here with pretentious employees scurrying to making sure that your every need is taken care of. If that’s your expectation, please do the world a favor and continue to stay home? There’s just good people here that want to make sure you’re comfortable. That’s all I needed. My room was clean, smelled fine, elevator worked, tv worked, and air conditioning worked. I had a safe in my room along with a refrigerator and a bathroom that appeared to have been recently remodeled. How nice to have a shower I can turn on before actually getting in. It’s the simple things I appreciated most. The hotel carries the nostalgia of a speakeasy from back in the day. A beautiful vintage vibe that I loved. I didn’t have a chance to visit the pool or breakfast at their sister hotel next door - I’m sure that renovation is fabulous. I enjoyed my my brief stay mostly in my room and was able to get some restful sleep in. If you are looking for the same, you will appreciate the Maison 140 Beverly Hills too.

It is true that the nightly rate of Maison 140 is relatively low at Beverly Hill, such an expensive area. However, it is hard to say that Maison 140 is a three-star hotel. Pros: 1. It is clean and well organized. 2. There were plenty of free parking spaces . Cons: 1. The room is just tooooo small. For instance, the bath door is about 25 inches width and the bath space is too tiny to fit a average size people (160lb) to take a shower freely. The room would be too crowded if there are two people in a room. There are mirrors anywhere in room. The actual space in room is much smaller than what you see in the photos. 2. The hotel collects a resort fee of $17/room/night. 3. There is NO free wifi available. Instead, I paid $20/day for wifi service. However, the speed was about 90-240kbs! It is ridiculous! 4. No coffee maker, no ice bucket, and no coffee and tea in guest rooms and public area. 5. There is no central a/c system in the hotel. The window unit a/c was too noisy. We therefore turned off the a/c in our room. However, the unit in the next door worked just like it was working in our room. 6. There was only one staff working at the front desk. When we got in the hotel, she was on the phone. No one had greeted to us for at least 10 minutes after we walked into the hotel. Another guest came in a little bit later and was the same as us.

I used to be a big fan of M140- I was excited to return after many years. recommend to my friends to stay here and they did- I was shocked at how run down the hotel became. The carpet on the 3 stairs to the 1st floor was worn out- the check in desk, worn out, the room, broken hairdryer and the most disconcerting thing the huge amount rust on the lights and the towel stand next to the toilet, which is so dangerous- if one gets cut- there was an awful order in the hotel hallways and in the rooms, which I was in a few of. Upon check-in, we were given a 1st floor room , the windows did not lock which concerned me due to it being accessible from the parking lot,bwe were promised a room on the 3rd floor for the remaining days of my stay, the next day we asked for 301 and was told that it was given to someone else despite a note that was written to transfer us. I brought all these concerns up upon check-out and was told to talk to the manager Alex, the next day! All in all, this was a very disappointing experience from what used to be my little hidden gem in Beverly Hills. Highly dissatisfied.

OK, I know a lot of the reviews can be all over the place so here is my honest review from a luxury blogger standpoint. The hotel is vintage. It’s 1920s 1930s there is going to be areas that really look aged however this hotel is a very classy the rooms are top-tier. The bed is comfortable, the wallpaper of the soft pink pastels are so elegant so luxurious and very feminine. The bar is open for everyone to enjoy after five. You can get complementary coffee from their neighbor the mosaic hotel you can also get a glass of wine from 4 to 5, which is really a nice touch and there is the Peninsula hotel right across the street where you can enjoy appetizers at the club bar if you like.

The aging of this hotel makes this hotel, intriguing interesting and classic. The hotel is also conveniently located in walking distance to Rodeo Drive the Beverly Hills Hotel, which had the Dior spa only 1 mile up the street a ton of restaurants. The Trader Joes is not far away maybe a mile. What else can you ask for and the price is affordable. We are in Beverly Hills where everything is extortionate.

Comfortable room, affordable, vintage, with complementary amenities and conveniently located what else could you ask for in a hotel and the staff is exemplary. The only thing is parking is $45 but there is street parking from 8 to 6 in two but after 6 o’clock, you can park overnight .

Just make sure to move your car before 8 AM the next morning, but I wanted to give you all all the tea because this is what we look for when we are trying to find a hotel or eating at a restaurant. We need all the details. We need to know how to prepare ourselves and if you give this hotel, a chance, I promise you, you will...

Hey All , Hope everyone is doing great .|| The property is Small but clean well equipped . The rooms don’t have coffee machines (u have to visit their other property which is 50 mtrs away for the same i.e.Mosaic). The rooms were very small and good for 2 adults with a child below 14 years or max . Try for higher category for bigger rooms .|
|Bar: there is small bar area near reception which can accommodate around 10 people ||Comfort : it’s fine , but bathroom is really small . Try for higher category which have decent size

Cleanliness :rooms , bathroom , sitting area 100% clean and hygienic .||Toiletries :Good Quality products ||

Staff :don’t believe them as when I checked in I asked for an upgradation , that time they said we can do but may be next day as we are heavily sold out ,we said ok for a certain fee then everyday they just started making excuses and every other person on the reception started with new statements when ever we asked for the same , we were there for 7 nights but each day they had new excuses . Which is very sad .||Location : its good clean , near enterprises rent a car and 15 min walk to rodeo drive .||Taxi: from airport its approximately 30 min I guess ||Charging for EV : yes but only Tesla ||Parking : they do have parking space with no extra cost .||Suggestion : Please don’t make false commitments with clients as because of them you are running your family .I suggest to change ur reception staff. don't want to name the people but the owner should try to talk to them and make them understand that this is their bread butter .||Other hotels: try Mosaic the new property which is bigger .||Booking : you can do directly ,or via...
