I come here everyday! Even a couple of times a day. Guisados is truly an authentic Mexican food experience and a hidden gem right in the heart of Beverly Hills. I usually start my day by grabbing a breakfast taco! There are many varieties on the menu. These are served from 9am to 11am. Today I got the Tocino con Papas Breakfast Taco with bacon, eggs, fresh potatoes, salsa, and cheese. Even though I do switch up everyday, they are all delicious. There is enough variety so as to never get board. Then for lunch I went back and got my favorite taco, Mole Pablano...actually it is a toss up with their Tinga de Pollo! This is one of the very few Mexican restaurants that actually serves real Mexican beverages like Orchata, Jamaica, Melón, and Limón. I usually ask them to mix Jamaica with Limon. Try it! It's great. The staff is the greatest on Earth, and they make those great tasting tacos from handmade tortillas! If you happen to be in Beverly Hills, come try it out. They also have several other locations, like West Hollywood, Downtown Los Angeles, Burbank, Echo Park, Boyle Heights, Burbank and Pasadena. And if you are lucky, you may also run into the owner's little doggie,...
Read moreMy experience at this Mexican restaurant has been one of the worst I have ever had. My food preferences are not very picky, but a couple things were totally wrong for me:
Parking for just eating here cost $8.00? for clients? On the premises? There are no waiters at the place and I have to order ahead to be seated...got it...no problem. We ordered tacos and quesadillas. Great. Usually we use our hands to eat this type of food. I would like to wash my hands and use the restroom, but there is no sink or toilet. When I talked to the server, he told me straight out that they usually send the customers to the pharmacy. I was shocked. He also told me that since the pharmacy was closed, if I needed to pee, I could pick any of the trees on the parking lot or walk around the trash area!!!
The server does not have any responsibility here, but the owner does. In order to provide solutions, they must not only ignore the problem and tell another business to send their customer to the bathroom. That is totally unacceptable. The problem must be resolved as soon...
Read moreI love the variety and assortment of interesting tacos at Guisados.
Cochinita pibil: 5/5. Excellent, juicy pork that was very flavorful, but the best part had to be the pickled onion on top. I got 3 spice and it wasn’t bad. Next time I’ll get more of this one.
Chuleta en chili verde: 4/5. A solid chile verde taco. I felt the chile flavor got a little lost in with the beans, but I’d rather have the beans than not. Still enjoyed it a lot.
Papas con chorizo: 4/5. Another great taco. The chorizo brings a lot of flavor and I really enjoy the potato. I wish there was a little salsa though to add sole moisture.
Horchata: 5/5. A flavorful horchata that’s very milky. It may have just been my batch but I do prefer an horchata that’s more milky than watery, and thus scratched that itch.
We parked in the adjacent neighborhood and saved some $. The staff was friendly and helped us navigate the menu. Seating is all outdoor but it was very clean and covered, with a good amount of...
