Theatre 40 — Attraction in Beverly Hills

An Unforgettable experience at Becky's New Car! Once again, this theatre has outdone itself! Becky’s New Car was an absolutely amazing performance from start to finish. The characters were rich and fully alive, brought to life by a cast that gave everything to their roles. Each actor delivered such heartfelt and genuine performances: it was truly emotional and kept the audience completely engaged the entire time. Amazing job! Peace of Art!!!!

The story itself is not only entertaining and deep but also delivers a powerful and meaningful message. It’s the kind of play that stays with you long after the curtain closes. My friend am and I Ieft feeling deeply moved.

We always come to this theatre, and every single show continues to amaze us. The quality, the passion, and the care put into every production are simply unmatched. Becky’s New Car is no exception - if you are considering going, do not hesitate. It’s a must see show! The best!!! Bravo to the entire team for yet another outstanding...

I was invited by my neighbor Chris Franciosa who played Walter in Becky's new car. This was my first time at theatre 40. Parking was free and inside Beverly high school. Not necessarily easy to find at first but I'm glad I was aware then there were signs too. The theater is pretty small with three rows in front then sitting on both sides. Perhaps a capacity of 100? Very intimate. Not sure how the view is from the sides however. I loved the play. A series of 6 plays is around $235 which is very reasonable. I'll definitely come back! The restrooms are ancient with doors that are wayyy too small, but I guess it's common for a school? Briefly met the artistic director who is clearly passionate about his job and doing his best to keep this theatre alive....

No one should miss these performances. This group is wonderful and in the 20 or more performances I've seen, they are truly fun to enjoy. Their latest "Incident at our Lady of Perpetual Help" is a lot of fun. I'm only sorry it took me so long to remember to write a review. Grab a few friends and head over before it closes. Shows Feb 5, 12 & 19 starting at 7:30pm, so hurry. Plenty of parking, wonder performances, sets, lighting and sound design and costumes. I hope I didn't...
