Happened upon this place on a tip from a friend. Wow! Civilize Thai Bistro is truly a hidden gem. And the best part? It's in Beverly Hills! The food was not only bursting with flavor but also surprisingly affordable, which is rare for this area. Each dish was made fresh and plated like a work of art, showing real care and creativity behind the menu.
Our waiter was incredibly attentive, making sure we understood everything and felt welcome.
The ambiance? Effortlessly cool and cozy. Somehow, four different tables sparked up a spontaneous group conversation, and the whole vibe felt like an intimate dinner party with friends. My friend and I ended up chatting with newlyweds in tech, a professional woman doctor, a guy who's both a corporate pro and a skilled driver, and a family running their own business. It was the kind of night that restores your faith in humanity.
We stayed right until closing, and the kitchen never missed a beat. The only tiny hiccup was some clunky noise from clearing the unique serving dishes--understandable, but maybe something they could streamline for an even smoother experience.
Still, this place gets a solid from me. I almost don't want to share it... but it deserves the love.

Read moreCalling this restaurant one of the best places I’ve ever had Thai food at would be an understatement. Upon walking in I felt like I was walking into a restaurant where someone really took their time to make it comfortable and giving it a trendy and cozy vibe.
I sat down with my wife and my best friend and we each ordered something different; the Drunken Noodle with chicken , Thai Basil with chicken, and the Red Curry with chicken, respectively.
Our plates each had their own flavor profile that sparked joy, feelings of freshness, and love as an ingredient.
We were taken very well care of by Gina and Mai; two kind hearted people who made sure everything was “okay”. But it wasn’t okay…it was FANTASTIC.
At the end we order the Mango Sticky rice for desert between the three of us.
We felt like we were on a planet of our own with homie the dessert transported us into a feeling that told us “everything’s going to be okay”. If you give me permission to be a little dramatic: we all had tears of joy in our eyes for this humble dish.
After leaving the restaurant, I recall the same feeling of coming back from a spiritual retreat or finishing an incredible book. What do I do now? How do I carry on? How has the world not caught on yet to this wonderful place?
I sigh…I carry on. I will come back though to try another dish.
Please visit Civilize Thai, you...
