I love this Pilates studio and wish I had found it sooner!! I've been coming for about 8 weeks now. I'm taking the prenatal classes and am 35 weeks pregnant. I had not even heard about the studio until I researched local prenatal Pilates classes. The reformers and other equipment is new and has all the bells and whistles. The studio itself is clean, well-stocked and offers plenty of classes. Some instructors and times fill up fast, but booking in advance helps keep me accountable!
I took my first 2 classes with Erika and was pleasantly surprised at what a great workout it was. I ended up being in the other prenatal class one day with Camilla and have booked all of my classes with her since! I absolutely love her style. She's tough, but sweet and so good. She's not afraid to correct our form and posture (which I really appreciate!) and also reminds us what is safe and most effective. She's obviously very knowledgable about both Pilates as well as safe prenatal and postnatal training. I love that Camilla uses different equipment in and out of the reformer and I feel like I'm already stronger since taking her classes consistently. I've already booked classes with her twice a week for the next 4 weeks and I look forward to continuing after the baby is born. I get so disappointed when I can't make it to her class, which is saying a lot about a class that every time I walk away from saying "that was so hard... But I rocked it!" :)
The people at the front desk are always super friendly and helpful and remember me by name. Parking is fine if you give yourself at least 5 minutes. I never have a problem finding street parking, but you can also park at...
Read moreBest. Classical Pilates. Studio. Ever. Let's face it: Los Angeles is a fitness-obsessed town. There are new studios popping up all the time, so we become overwhelmed with choices. Even when we've discovered a particular brand of exercise, like Pilates, our options are endless. Classical Pilates or hot Pilates or Pilates Plus or Hybrid Pilates or... And after we discover which discipline of the discipline we like, we have to find the right studio. I've been to about one dozen classical Pilates studios and Natural Pilates is the best for three reasons: the instructors, the facility, and the convenience. I take from Sara Tull and she's awesome, but I have other friends who have been equally impressed with other instructors, so I'm sure you can't go wrong. Although the building is older and perhaps not as sleek as some other studios, the studio equipment (always up-to-date) is kept in PRISTINE condition, and the space is cleaner than a German hospital! Additionally, free parking is always available on Lasky Drive (about a five minute walk)....
Read moreI've been going to Natural Pilates for a month now and I must say I am so impressed by their expertise and thoroughness in their teaching and how amazing and worked my entire body feels after every session. All of the instructors are absolutely fantastic, which leaves me with more options when reserving a class since it doesn't matter which person I'm getting - I know I will get a great workout in with any one of them. I am also recovering from a groin injury and after having been training as an avid athlete Pilates has really helped me to keep up with my strength (if not even more strong now then ever) without irritating my injury and allowing it to heal. I am planning to continue Pilates after my recovery to supplement my athletic training to make sure I keep that solid deep core strength throughout the rest of my training. Thank you Natural Pilates for bringing such awesomness and professionalism. Oh.. and the staff are so sweet and friendly and they really make you feel welcomed each and...
