We gave this place a try after realizing it was almost the last resort for us since it was a Friday evening and any hotels that were not completely full in the area were $200 or more. The staff was friendly when we checked in and directed us to our room. He even gave us ideas on where to eat dinner. (Which his recommendation of Hacinda El Charro ended up being a great place to eat!)|Once we brought our stuff into the room, we began looking around the room and bathroom. It was as if we took a step back in time, to the 50s. It looked clean on the surface but after stepping into the bathroom and finding a small roach in the tub, I started rethinking our decision to choose a non name brand place. Then on the last trip that my husband made in from bringing our bags in, he saw a grass hopper on the side of the bed. (It may have come in with the many trips in and out, but after the roach in the bathroom, I felt real uneasy). After taking a shower while bent over drying my hair I saw a dead bug on the carpet. When my husband finished his shower, he asked if I thought I could sleep and I said no. We decided to leave at 10pm and drive over 5 hours home. So basically we paid $109 for restaurant advice and a shower. If you are adventurous and don't mind old and dated rooms,...

Read moreMy husband and I were here for a funeral and needed a place to stay. I was impressed with this motel. Super clean with extra room. Simple table and chairs that were comfortable. The bed was so comfortable, we just fell into it and went to sleep. My husband woke up the next morning and commented how good he slept because of the bed. Something I really appreciated was the little things that added to my stay. Glass coffee cups, half an half creamer, a daily newspaper was in the room (we did read). The bathtub/shower they picked out (when remodeling) with lots of deep shelves for your things. And last, I felt the price was adequate for the area. Not too high, which could have been for the area.
