I had a nice visit. I liked seeing the history of the town and the building. The only detraction for me came when I mentioned visiting the place in 1971 or '72 when it was an old west museum with mannequins depicting different scenes in each room... and both of the ladies in authority there said I was probably mistaken as neither one had ever heard of it. The both suggested that I had the Blanco Courthouse mixed up with some other place. They even had my mom convinced I was wrong. But I have a pretty good memory and a smartphone. So I Googled the history of the old Blanco Courthouse and there was my proof. The old courthouse WAS a museum about the old west from 1971- 1973. It was very easy to find and the fact that neither of the ladies there (an owner, possibly, and a greeter) knew the history of their own building...
