Edited review: This place is a scam and a huge disappointment. The owner is trying to cover up his lies. Since I can't reply back, I had to edit my review to respond. They do not have whole buffalo milk (which has way higher fat content than a cow's milk) or real gellato ice cream. I used to drink buffalo milk as a kid in Punjab, India. So, I went out of my way in a big semi truck, wasting money on diesel and dry ice, and spent $200 to buy a few gallons of milk and ice cream. Each gallon was $25, I think. I drove home 250 miles only to find out that milk barely had any fat, which was removed to make their cheese and cream. My mom tried to make Indian Punjabi style cheese and got 1 scoop of lose weak curd from half a gallon. It was useless and could not be compressed into cheese. Yogurt also came out weak and lose, and it took longer than cow's milk due to very low fat content. I specifically asked the owner if the milk was whole and grass fed. Both were lies. You can tell from the taste. He confirmed it on the phone and in person at the store. I told him that I live 250 miles down south and will take a bigger amount if it's whole milk to make Indian Punjabi cheese and yogurt. It turned out to be a scam and a big disappointment. Their ice cream is garbage since they take out most of the fat for cheese and cream. The buffalo milk has way more fat than cow's milk, but this ice cream tasted weaker than cow's milk ice cream. Similar to a low-fat cow milk. No way in hell this is anywhere near a gellato. It's full of fake reviews. Milk fat is milk fat, it doesn't matter if the Buffalo comes from India, Africa, or Italy. Their milk has way higher fat content. Since they claim their Buffalo milk has 8% fat and cow's milk has 4%. Then why with double the fat I saw fat similar to low fat skim milk?? What I was sold was water. See the video and watch the difference in Cow's chesse and the useless cheese curds from their Buffalo milk, and you can judge it yourself. The proof is in the pudding(or the cheese) as they say.

Stopped by for a quick dessert and to escape the heat after visiting the Lavender festival across the street. As soon as I stepped foot in the door, lady working the gelato counter was extremely friendly and welcoming. She was very passionate about the gelato and was happy to explain everything about the gelato, but also the meat, cheese, and coffee. She explained how everything is made fresh in the open kitchen for you to see. After trying a few flavors, decided on the Pistachio and Citrus Crema gelato. The Citrus Crema was a surprise hit as I didn't plan on ordering it until I had a sample. I was hesitant about the size of the 5oz not being large enough. However, she packed so much of both gelatos in the cup, that it was more than plenty. Also, ordered an iced latte to stay hydrated. There's no tables inside, but there's plenty of covered sitting areas on the patio and under the pergola outside. The gelato was extremely creamy, soft, and fresh. It wasn't too sweet as it tasted so natural. The gelato was amazing, but the service was even better. Nice place to have a small dessert or coffee. I didn't look close enough, but hopefully they have small portions of meat, cheese, and crackers to eat onsite next time. Will definitely be back again.

OroBianco is absolutely amazing! Without a doubt it should be on top of every visitors list of things to do in Blanco. Their gelato is some of the best I have ever eaten. My wife and I spent three weeks in Italy this year and we were happy to get home to Blanco so we could get our gelato fix from OroBianco. The 100% grass fed Water Buffalo milk and premium ingredients combined with small batch crafting turns out a superior quality product that just can’t be beat. Don’t forget to pick up some of their cheese and Salame to take home as well. We like the Ladybird bloomy rind. If you want to wow your friends and guests with outstanding charcuterie and formaggio plates you can’t go wrong with their products. In addition the staff is always friendly and courteous. The establishment is always clean and well maintained. It’s interesting to look through the glass windows behind the counter to see their production area. We especially enjoy sitting on their covered patio in the afternoon while we enjoy our gelato and sometimes get an espresso afterwards. They are definitely an asset to the local community and we couldn’t be happier that they chose Blanco to open this amazing creamery.

Update: Phil, the owner, made things right and explained the reason for the miscommunication. He gave us 6 half gallons of delicious buffalo milk which he offered to give us complimentary for the error but we politely still paid. Will definitely be returning to this establishment since the owner has integrity and the gelato is so yummy. Tried the spreadable salami which was delicious too. The girl working the counter today was sweet and a superstar as it got crazy busy and she was working both the gelato bar and the register.

Was super excited to get raw buffalo milk here when I was told by the lady behind the counter we could call ahead and reserve some when the next shipment came in. When I called to place our order I was told by a man that they no longer allow people to reserve and it's just first come first serve. We drove over an hour all the way from Elgin to be there as soon as they opened and were happy to see they still had a few half gallons. When we went to purchase it, we were told by one of the workers those were hers she had personally reserved for a friend. So you don't do reservations but she somehow can? Very disappointed as we were given false information and never would have made the drive. The lady wasn't even sympathetic nor accommodating. None of the workers samed on the same page and cost us 2 hours of time and gas. Will not be giving them...
