— This was my first visit to this restaurant n Bloomington City, IL, and I ventured in with my friends for a delightful dinner. The moment we stepped inside, I was struck by the spaciousness and welcoming atmosphere. I noticed separate seating areas for families and groups, ensuring a comfortable experience for everyone.
— My friends had hyped up the food, and let me tell you, they weren't wrong! We feasted on a mouthwatering array of dishes.
— We ordered Chicken Lollipops, Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti, Chicken Fried Rice, special boneless Chicken Biryani, Mango Lassi, Egg Dosa, Malai Kofta with Beverages and Soft Drinks.
— Dishes: Chicken Lollipops, While a tad spicy for some, the flavor was certainly on point. Tandoori Chicken (Highly Recommended), This was the star of the show! The succulent tandoori flavor was absolutely delicious, leaving me wanting more. Egg Dosa, Chicken Fried Rice, Malai Kofta, These dishes hit all the right notes, combining rich taste with satisfying textures. The complementary rice, naan, and roti were perfect accompaniments.
— Special Boneless Chicken Biryani, While recommended by the server, this dish wasn't as impressive as the others. We ended up leaving some behind.
— Mango Lassi (Highly Recommended), This was pure refreshment! The authentic mango flavor was evident in every sip.
— Service & Ambiance: The outstanding service deserves special mention. The staff was friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The ambiance was equally impressive, with a combination of lively music and a clean, hygienic environment. This restaurant definitely caters to both families and groups, offering a delightful atmosphere for all.
— Value for Money: Considering the quality and quantity of food we ordered, the cost was quite reasonable. We enjoyed a feast of over 11 items, along with beverages and soft drinks, without breaking the bank.
— Overall Highly recommended! I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The delicious food, the friendly service, and the delightful atmosphere make it a perfect place for a memorable meal with friends or family. If you're ever in Bloomington City, don't miss out on this gem!
Thank you so...
Read moreI read the reviews before going drove one hour only to find out there's loud music and uncomfortable seating. When I ask this one guy over there can I get a table upstairs because there are no disco lights like in the main area which go berserk everytime a song with too many beats is played as the lights were synced with the tv which is what I was told and those were giving me serious headaches he goes on and tells me "if u want sit outside" by which he meant in the outer exposed area again with uncomfortable seating.
So I adjust and just sit where I was, then I order ginger chicken which in one word was chilly chicken with raw garlic paste all over. I've been sick and down for two weeks now including my friend who accompanied me. The dish literally had chunks of raw garlic semi grinded paste. The staff was busy In their phones, each time I had wait for 5 mins before they looked at me and guess what with the loud music u can't even try to get their attention. Then we get the biryani which okayish.
Overall disgusting experience especially when you expect a lot after all that driving even if not too good we wanted it to be decent but it was worse. Anyways please think twice before you go not all the staff but half of the staff that was there on the Friday midnight was rude and very unprofessional. //// Reply to the owner
I didn't get an option to reply so editing and adding my reply here.
How strange..in your investigation you didn't find the part where one of your staff said "if you want sit outside". Also please redo the investigation only the Chicken was eaten entirely not the gravy so idk where you saw the "nothing left in plates". Also again on the "nothing left in our plates" lol we ate a very small amount of biryani and packed the rest to go because I was already feeling funny with the raging lights and chunks of garlic. I didn't say anything for two reasons firstly I thought maybe that's how they make it here secondly your staff was too busy in their phones scrolling we barely got their attention when we needed some water LOL. Oh no nothing is making me come back especially not the food after all the sickness it gave me I got off my meds recently and had to go my doctor because of it so idk where you're getting this confidence from btw nice way to cover huh impressive how you're behind empty plates what I was supposed to do fill my plate with trash and give...
Read moreBloom Bawarchi is a restaurant with very good food but they should work on the experience a tad bit when it comes to ambiance and atmosphere as it can easily get a bit overwhelming.
My general experience with the restaurant was great: The owner and the servers were polite, friendly and clearly very passionate about what they were doing. I got the impression that they are a tight knit team and deeply care about providing great service and great food. It was almost to a level of zealotry I've never seen in establishments where you get a large amount of variance in enthusiasm between various employees. Instead, this felt very cohesive and the folks working were all on the same page and very attentive.
The food was absolutely amazing and was very fresh. It did, understandably, take a bit of time but that's the cost of freshness. While the employees and the owner were apologetic about how long it was taking (not that I complained), they were also adamant that it was taking long because they wanted to do it right. I personally love this sort of intensity and focus on quality as I like to do things right and not rush them - obviously in a reasonable frame of time.
Where I feel like the restaurant can improve is in what I feel like most Indian restaurants need to improve in: Ambiance. There was very loud Bollywood music playing and it was extremely overwhelming at times. I think the music should be turned down a tad bit - it's not a club, it's a restaurant. I think finding a balance is what this is all about.
Overall, this was a great experience and I would love to go back. The owner let me know that they also deliver to the Champaign/Urbana area with a flat $7 delivery fee on Fridays to Sundays and have a large set of unique customers (almost 2000). This restaurant might be the best experience I've had when it comes to service when it comes to dining at an Indian restaurant and the food is also in my top 2 when it comes to...
