Boothbay Harbor Inn has plusses and minuses like many hotels/Inns. It has close proximity to restaurants, shops, and excursions. It's convenient to take a walking bridge nearby to take over to the shops/excursions/restaurants. It sits right on the harbor/marina and has excellent sunsets. The personnel at the front desk were all pleasant and very professional. ||The room was very clean, the linens were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The front desk personnel were prompt on any requests (ie, fresh towels, etc). ||The negatives are the following: Upon arrival and opening the door you can clearly see that the carpeting is dated and soiled. It needs to be replaced. The interior walls need to have a fresh coat of paint. Upon arrival and walking down the hall one can smell some sort of fumes that are chemically based. I'm not sure what that was. It was not cigarette smoke. The room which had an excellent view was very dated and not roomy at all. It was small with two queen sized beds. The bathroom was dated with ceramic tile that also needed to be replaced. The bathroom was small as well and there was minimal space to spread out toiletries. The toilet sat very low to the floor and is more adequate for kids, in height, than adults which should be comfort height. There was no breakfast, lunch, or supper available in the Inn. If you want that, you have to go elsewhere. It's something to consider after traveling all day to get there. ||Make sure to compare all reviews of all hotels and inns along with prices and then discern what's best for you and your budget. ||The view just out the slider on ground level was incredible and beautiful. If you're just going to use this as a place to stay and can look past the cosmetics then this might be for you. If you want something more, then it's important to look...

I don’t think this is ever happened to me in the 60 years. I’ve been on this earth. I booked this hotel for the weekend and the person I was going with could not make it. When I arrived, I asked the desk clerk if there was a chance, I could change it to one night. He said I’d have to talk to my manager. I said let me take a look at the room and I’ll let you know. I didn’t go back and decided to go grab some dinner and was planning on staying the whole weekend. I got a call and he said you’re all set. You can just stay one night I said no I change my mind. I’m gonna stay both nights. He was a little perplexed and said OK. Few minutes later I got another phone call saying you can’t stay another night. We have re-rented your room. I said per our conversation I told you I would let you know. I called my manager and she said that someone already booked the room. I told him that’s not my problem. Several minutes later I got a call from the manager saying that I couldn’t stay in the room a second night. I said I’m in the middle of having dinner, but when I return, I’d be glad to pack my things up if you credit me for the whole stay. I still have not received credit. I will tell everyone I know on the planet about the experience I had because never has anything like this ever...

Our room reminded me of the motels my parents used to rent when we traveled in the 60's. No extra space for your travel things, wore-out saggy beds, and a window style AC that barely worked. Good thing we had chilly nights.|I wonder if this place changed owners, because it feels like these owners don't give a crap. I know Covid changed how the world worked, but we have come back from it. Not here. They still offer no breakfast. Zip, nada, nothing but coffee. No cereal, no pastry's..... nothing. It's up to you to go find food in the morning. And if you happen to be there on a Monday or Tuesday - well, your choices are few on the other side of the harbor in September. And if you want ice - I had to walk down (and up again to return) a flight of stairs & through the lobby just to get a bucket worth. And parking? More than half of the parking spots near this hotel are not for this hotel, so when unloading your car - park illegally near your closest avenue to load / unload, and then move your car to the adjacent lot that does have availability. Do that again when it's time to checkout.|For this I spent this kind of...

What first attracted us about the Boothbay Harbor Inn was the price and location. The property has a 70’s vibe, but the rooms were clean and had a refrigerator and microwave. It was quiet and relaxing. The property did not offer a breakfast, but had tea and coffee on site along with a lounge. At night, you could hear the loons outside calling. Despite the rooms needing a bit of updating to be more contemporary, they had a rustic charm about them. The gal at the office check in was very nice! I would recommend staying here if you are looking for affordability with a rustic charm.

Plans changed and needed to find a room mid-week and, fortunately, Boothbay Harbor Inn had some available. I will admit that originally I was dissuaded by some of the reviews and ended up st a different place our first night. But, came here for the second night and glad we did. The check in process was easy and the people were great. The room was comfortable and our balcony had a grea view of the footbridge, lower part of the harbor, and across to the shops and restaurants. I would be happy to stay here again if we come back to the area.

The Front desk staff are friendly and helpful. We had a room on the second floor facing the water with beautiful harbor views. Room was clean. Complimentary breakfast was OK. If your hotel room deck slider was open and you opened the door to the hallway the ceiling tiles above the bed would pop out of their tracks and expose pipes. Fortunately my husband is tall and could reach up to put them back in place.
