I must admit, I was never a particularly avid popcorn consumer. However, my perspective changed dramatically when I had the opportunity to try the Maine Blueberry Pancake flavor at the newly opened Renys in Waterville. To be frank, I didn't have high expectations. But, oh, was I in for a delightful surprise!

This popcorn truly takes your taste buds on an unforgettable journey. The contrasting textures - the crunchy exterior and soft, airy inside - create a unique sensation with every bite. And when you taste it, the flavor is nothing short of remarkable. They've somehow managed to capture the authentic essence of blueberry and maple without any artificial aftertaste.

Everyone at the store was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, the store no longer offers samples of the popcorn due to COVID-19. Based on the good reviews here, we ended up buying 5 different flavors, all XL bags, which came to just over $50 and included a free tote.

Sadly, the popcorn is just awful. Every flavor had some kind off weird off-flavor to it. I said that it was something acrid, my wife described it at "tasting like that blue port-o-potty juice smells". I am not sure if it is some kind of preservative, or something that is present in the flavorings, etc, but they were all bad (we only got savory flavors, YMMV with sweet/chocolate flavors).

I gave it 2 stars because as mentioned, everyone was super nice and service was great, but in the end we didn't even get close to finishing a single flavor; we threw away the vast majority of what we bought immediately...
