Apparently the motel is under new management and since I’m an returning guest I have noticed some differences which are not a good reflection of new management. First, the room given to me was hot. Not the same as last year when I cam in it was actually too cold. The reason I was given was that if I called they would have cooled it off for me. I did not call last year so it looks like they don’t keep 1 or 2 rooms cool for possible guests check in anymore. I don’t know if the lady at the office is the new manager but she is not making it comfortable for me. Also I checked in at 9!pm and check out is 11am she would not extend it a few hours for me. A hotel in Arizona actually gave me a checkout time of the following day which was more than 24 hours since check in when I traveled in 2022. What is a few hours checkout going to do when they have only a handful of guests checked in right now judging by how many empty parking spots there are. It’s not like they are going to “lose” a room because I checked out a little later than usual time. Anyway I am at this motel as I type this so I will edit this if something changes. I loved this newly renovated motel everything was perfect about it family owned the couple that owns it were very friendly even though I screwed up the shower and I’m not going to mention how they were very understanding they even offered me some barbecue food that they were cooking out there with other guests I highly recommend this motel it was very reasonable rate and rooms were brand new. However, my experience took a turn when I decided to switch from the deluxe family room to a single queen room for the next night. After booking online, I was surprised to receive a knock on my door within minutes. The property manager informed both me and my mom that it would be more convenient for the staff if we stayed in our current room to avoid housekeeping cleaning another room. She also mentioned that we would need to pay the pet fee, as we had the previous night.||My mother went to the front desk to pay the pet fee, but to our dismay, the property manager requested an additional payment due to her decision to keep us in the family deluxe room. It was frustrating because we wanted to switch rooms, yet she refused to accommodate our request. She insisted on charging us an extra $41 for her decision. When my mom voiced her objections, the property manager contacted the owner, who instructed her to charge us a $30 pet fee instead. Confused, my mom asked why the pet fee had increased by $20 compared to the previous night.
