After 7+ years of living in Las Vegas, my family and I finally decided to do the Dam Tour (Hoover Dam); however, prior to visiting the Dam, we wanted to stop and have brunch somewhere to make it a somewhat all-day affair. We did a little bit of research to see what restaurants were in the area, to include watching some YouTube videos from different sources/content creators and came across one video (Breakfast in Boulder City - the Coffee Cup Cafe by Dale McKenzie). When we arrived, the hostess informed us that it was ~45 min wait. Luckily for us, there was a car show going on so we got to kill some time walking through that event. One thing I noticed is that a lot of people had a Bloody Mary in hand - although I didn't get to try it, it appeared that everyone was enjoying it. When we finally sat down, we ordered the Pork Chili Verde Omelette, Carne Asada Omelette, Classic Breakfast Burrito, Pancakes, Coffee, and Chocolate Milk Shake. Needless to say, the food was magnificent! Aside from what matters the most (the food quality), there are several other things that make this restaurant outstanding...first, the service - the food came out so quickly (shocking considering how busy they were). Also, the staff were so damn friendly and efficient...from the hostess to the servers...I was definitely appalled with the service. I wish I could mention them by name on this review, but I didn't catch their names (basically whoever was on shift during brunch time on 6 May 2023). Next, I enjoyed how the owners support the military by offering discounts to active duty, retired/veterans. One, neutral comment/recommendation for the owners...if feasible, please look into expanding the restaurant size, whether at the same location or find another location that has a bigger land size. This place is so remarkable that I'd love to see it bigger to accommodate more people at one time - to include having a bigger bathroom.
Thank you for the outstanding experience from the food quality and staff performance/professionalism!! One hundred percent recommend to all locals and tourists/travelers to visit this place. Don't forget, this place was featured on Guy Fieri's...

While not exactly to my taste, it wasn't bad at all. On the other hand, the chili dog burrito was both unique and well-executed, delivering exactly the kind of flavor you'd expect. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this place whenever I'm in the area; the overall experience was fantastic.
Coming from the east, this visit was truly refreshing and heartwarming. The small-town atmosphere is so strong that you can almost forget you're in the desert. The place was bustling, yet it's surrounded by charming little shops to explore. Arriving early on a bike run, we only had to wait around 30 minutes, which was quite manageable given the crowd. Despite placing separate orders, the food came out relatively quickly. The service was top-notch from everyone, and I particularly appreciated that other staff members were proactive in assisting when needed, a touch I personally liked.
Our waiter was more than accommodating, willingly splitting the check a few times and processing our payment promptly. My experience was wonderful, even though some elements like the gravy and ranch didn't match my preferences. However, I can understand why others might enjoy them. Overall, I highly recommend giving them a try. They've truly captured the essence of a hometown breakfast spot.

Read moreI have been going to The Coffee Cup for the past 11 years and I know it has been a local staple long before that. My go to favorites to order are the house breakfast burrito the “Hangover” which is biscuits, lots of gravy (the way I think it should be), eggs, and 2 sausage patties. They have good coffee – good thing considering their name. DON'T FORGET to get a fat, gooey, delicious Cinnamon roll. Come back to this review and thank me later.*
Recommend getting a mimosa or Bloody Mary with bacon. You can order straight from the bar inside while you wait for your table to be ready. By the way if you go on the weekend, especially Sunday, build in time for a little of a wait. They have tables and benches you can sit at outside, and you could check out the cute shops around so don’t worry about the wait time if you think good food, service, and the experience of being in old timey Boulder City.
Take a drive out to Boulder City, (close by “Boulder” dam duh stop by on your way through) it is not that far out of town, 20 mins for me coming from South East Henderson. Lots of long time legacy restaurants to try and cute shops around.
Would recommend the restaurant installs misters and better cover for shade for the outside waiting area. The morning sun heats up as it beats on guests against...
