This place, Pit Stop, has everything I experienced done right. The have designated the restaurant front curb as a drive-up pick-up spot with cones. When I went in to place a take out order, I was immediately greeted and handed a menu when I said I'd be ordering take out. When I was done going over the menu, my order was being taken by one of the servers. I don't have her name, but she asked all the right questions for the food I ordered, and I got all the sauce to last the meal to the end. No one wants to run out of sauce during a meal. The food was great! I had the Pit Burger, since they show a recognition for the burgers on their front window, and my daughter had the fish and chips - and wow, those fish pieces were fried right and HUGE pieces. They even ventilated the take out containers, no place I've been to has gone that far - we had crispy fries and fish when we got to our hotel. Just to complete the take out order process, we were asked if we'd like to wait in the car and park to the side of the building and she'd bring the food out to our car. That was a great idea, they were getting busier for dinner, and there wasn't a spot to just sit and wait for food. I liked the idea. Eat here, food is good and staff is nice.

Unfortunately I ordered the fish sandwich and a order of fries.. the fries were way too salty for me to eat, the fish sandwich was extremely greasy and it fell apart the breading just came off. I did call down there to give them a heads up, first the person that answered the phone offered to remake the sandwich but I said no because I didn't want to drive back down there. Then he put me on hold and a girl got on the phone and said that they couldn't comp me my meal. Which actually kind of made me mad because at the least they could have taken my information and offered to replace the meal with something else at a future date. She did offer the next time I wanted to place an order to put no salt on the fries or to make the fish sandwich on the crispy side. I told her no I probably won't be back. I guess things have changed so much that people are just so desperate for money they don't really care about quality anymore.

For over 30 years, the Boulder Pit Stop has been serving up some of the best burgers in the Las Vegas area! Their fish and chips are unbelievable with portion sizes “too good to be true“ I highly recommend their in-house sauce, and quite frankly anything you get off their menu is well worth it. They’ve had over three decades to perfect their menu… It goes without saying that they survived the pandemic and didn’t skip a beat and serving up amazing food. If you are planning a trip to see the Hoover dam, add this restaurant to your itinerary! Or just venture over to Boulder city, and take advantage of a menu from which there is nothing questionable or less than a five star quality and flavor!

My bestfriends and I have been coming to Pit Stop for the past few years. The service is usually phenomenal and welcoming. Lately the service has been not so pleasant. The majority of the waitresses come off unwelcoming and angry. Today my friend and I were killing for Pit Stop. It was pretty busy when we arrived and expected to wait for service, understandably. Our first waitress was great, she was happy and bubbly; what we expect when we stop in. She must have reached the end of her shift because she was MIA for the rest of our meal. The last interaction my friend and I had with an employee was when we received our food. At this point in our visit we were one of 3 tables. We were not asked if we would like a refill and when I attempted to ask for a refill I was ignored. My friend and I were finished with our meal and once we finish we like to stack our baskets together with all if our trash on top, making it easier for the girls. We sat at our table for about 5 minutes as waitresses looked at our table and did not acknowledge us. I was curious to see if I hardcore stared at the waitresses they would feel it and offer us our check. Nothing. We were going to just throw a 20 down, but realized that the waitress that would pick up our table would get a $5 tip that they did not earn. My friend took the money and stood by the cash register while 3 waitresses walked by and ignored my friend. She attempted to get their attention, but like the rest of our experience it was as if we were not there. Moral of this story, if your waitress doesnt do her job, you get a free meal. So thank you waitresses...

I think I'll pass. While the food is good, their process seems unreliable. The first time I ate here was with a coworker who sang their praises. So, haven't a persistent craving for pastrami, I ordered their hot stack pastrami. It was during COVID, so we picked it up as drive-thru. It was gross!

Barely enough meat to fill a 1/2 cup measure, the bread was soaked through with grease and mustard. Many months later, my boss had ordered from them and had leftover fried zucchini. She gave it me, and it was awesome!!! Really, really good, although the ranch sauce was super thin, like they're really cheap and water it down.

Given that, I still never went back until same boss was placing an order and, having looked at the menu, decided to try their pastrami on rye--different from the hot stack. Apparently, two different pastrami sandwiches are more than they can take, because I got the same sandwich sopping with grease I got over a year before! I know my boss ordered it correctly based on their published menu. Maybe they serve both sandwiches the exact same way, but that doesn't seem to jive with having to sandwiches listed. Maybe they're incompetent? I don't know. All I can say is that AT LEAST this one had more meat on it. That was the only difference.

I'm not going to eat at this place again. I'll tell you that. Nope! Not me. The fried zucchini is great (if you get ranch dip that isn't watered into oblivion), but I have nothing good to say about the rest of the menu and/or the ability of the staff...

I worship this restaurant. What gets me through my week is merely the possibility of the spare time to stop here and snarf down a hot turkey stack. Every special occasion I can think of, preferably after I get done with a long day of outdoor activities, I arrive to this restaurant, starving, and am always pleasantly greeted before finding a seat at this humble place of beauty. Each time I come, someone very sweet takes my order which is usually a hot turkey stack and some fries. It takes about ten minutes for the food to reach the table, presumably while they infuse love and goodness into the food. The food itself is tremendous, the hot turkey stack I always get is sauced well on sourdough bread toasted perfectly, and the turkey they use is high quality and thick cut. The sandwich comes out buttery, crisp, and a bit dry, which makes it perfect for the incredible housemade fry sauce they have, which I always inhale at the behest of my reputation to my girlfriend as a genuine sauce fiend. The fries are thin cut and nostalgic, deserving of their own gold medal. The grilled cheese with havarti they have is also incredible, and only like 5 bucks. Everything is priced cheap and worth beyond every penny. Every time I go to this place I have genuinely one of the best meal experiences of my life. Everyone who works here is an angel doing life changing things. This is my favorite...
