0 Stars would be a better option. I am a pretty easy-going person and I don't get too bent out of shape about things, but I will take a moment to say THIS WAS SUCH A DISAPPOINTMENT ON MANY LEVELS. Our stay was in a Non-Smoking 2 Double Bed room for 3 days/3 nights. The lobby is the cleanest part of the entire hotel. The carpets in the rooms smell like they have never been cleaned. The tile was sticky and there were dead bugs behind the door and under the main counter. The shower had lots of residue and the shower vent didn't work up to code; causing condensation buildup which probably accounted for the mildew growth in the corners of the bathroom floor. The hotel advertises an inground pool. When you check in, there is a sign that indicates the pool is undergoing massive renovations. This is false advertising, and this location is taking advantage of the online platform to make more money that they obviously aren't using to update/better their accomodations. If it is being renovated - UPDATE YOUR ONLINE LISTING. The staff is unbelievably inconsiderate and RUDE. We stayed with 2 other people and naturally used all 4 towels for showers. I am quite courteous to hotel employees and I normally form a pile of towels on the tile [making sure they weren't too wet], and I clean the room as much as possible so as to not to leave so much work for housekeeping. ONE day out of the three we stayed, one of the people in our party needed to take a second shower. They went to the front desk to ask for an additional bath towel. The employee was a man and [I am not exaggerating in any way] informed my friend that he "isn't housekeeping" and proceeded to laugh in his face saying the only way he'd give him a towel is to charge it to the room. I have NEVER - absolutely NEVER stayed somewhere where they charged the room extra for a BATH TOWEL. And to have an employee with such poor manners acting condescending to a customer as the face of the hotel? That is embarrassing to the business. The fitness room that is advertised online is a joke. 4 out of 5 machines were "out of order", neither of the tv's in the room worked, there was literally one 2 lb weight and the attached bathroom was filled with a hundred boxes thrown in the shower, on the sink and covering the toilet. It was comical to say the least. All in all we will never stay here again. We make an annual trip to Bowling Green for an event every summer and will be sure to share the news of this disappointing stay so that none of our friends from out of state have to experience such a miserable stay. We had stayed in the Red Roof Inn for 2 years in a row for this trip [which is normally a lower value option] and paid far less money than what we paid at the Ramada and had a superb experience there. I hope this place can improve their accomodations, but if not I hope someone reports them to the Better Business Bureau for false advertisement in all...
Read moreIf I could give -100 on service I would! Terrible "Gentlemen" at desk! I was checking into the hotel and another lady of his ethnicity (Indian) came up he smiled and said hi (assuming it was Hi, don't understand the language) to her she was on her phone I'm assuming FaceTime, she was talking loudly ( not English not that it matters) I couldn't hear what he was saying I asked him politely if he could ask her to lower her voice or walk away from the counter while we was doing business, it was obvious she wasn't checking into the hotel, I was giving my car information and swiping my credit card, he just looked at me and smiled and said no! She continued to talk loudly, he was telling me where to drive to park to go to the room I could not hear him because of her, I asked her to please lower her voice so I could hear where to go, then he said just drive around until you find it! Poor customer service, if I hadn't already paid I would of left. It was humiliating the way this Gentlemen is able to treat customers of this hotel. I'm totally pulling a Karen when I say I'm contacting corporate. This hotel isn't worth this type of abuse. The rooms are outdated, dust covering the vent in the bathroom, bathroom needs painting, it looks like a bathroom in a B rated slasher movie from the 80's! The carpet in the room looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a shade under a decade. The hallways smell of depression while the room had a smell of years of Virigina Slims & suicidal thoughts. (It was a non-smoking room) It's labeled as a 3 star hotel! More like half a star. My advice is to choose another hotel, ANY hotel. I called and asked to speak to a specific manager, another manager called me back I gave him the story of what occurred (my version, there's always two sides to a story) he acted halfway annoyed, I asked to speak to the manager I called to speak to, he pretty much told me he wouldn't be calling me. His attitude I think it might of been the guy I had an issue with. Terrible. The front desk clerk I had the issue with went to the mailbox I was trying to ask for a refund after we was away from the loud mouth girl, so we could leave and get another hotel, he completely ignored me. We had planned on staying there two nights at first. We stayed at another hotel the next night, a better hotel...
Read moreThis was absolutely the worst hotel I've ever stayed. My wife's father had a massive heart attack so we had to travel to Bowling Green. After being on the 3rd day of no sleep, we needed somewhere economical to stay and we this was right off the interstate and close to the hospital. I made the reservations on their website while at the hospital and we finally headed there around 11:30pm completely exhausted. When we got to the desk and told her I had a reservation, she looked and I had no reservation for that night. Some how it had booked it for like two weeks out even though I had specified that night when making the reservation. There were drunk idiots everywhere in the lobby so if we had not been strapped for cash and they had not already charged our card, we would of left at that point but they had already charged our card and we were exhausted and just ready to lay down. The lady at the front desk found one last room available for the night so we just decided to stay. The room had a vending machine and ice machine right outside the door so all the drunk people from the bar that's inside the hotel seemed to congregate at it all night long making all kinds of noise keeping us awake. We got up at 5am to shower and get the heck out of there only to find out there was no hot water to shower with and after turning the lights on (we only turned on the one right inside the door when we got there), we found that the room had not even been cleaned well. There was a bottle cap in the floor, ashes in the floor even though it was a nonsmoking room, and the sheets were even stained with something brown. I sincerely hope it wasn't what it looked like it was. I immediately went to the front desk to soak with a manager but there was not a manager on duty and the lady that was there at this point couldn't do anything about our horrible stay. I asked her to have the manager call me but of course, I haven't heard from him yet so I'll have to call myself later today. This place was nasty. I would not recommend this place...
