I had to stop there to drop off some information about Discover card processing and decided to try out the cuisine for the first time with my girlfriend. Met the manager who was more than helpful and patient (since we took a little while to decide). When we finally ordered he politely asked my g what she would like (big plus, since I'm old school and believe this is the proper way). She was unsure and before moving on to me he asked if she was sure before just moving on to my order. As someone else stated the decor was simple but pleasant and very clean. While waiting the food smells seemed to blend well together and suggest that we return soon to try other items on the menu. I had a tasty burrito with a red sauce that I was expecting to be more tomato based but instead it was complimented by more of an enchilada/mole type sauce that I really enjoyed. My girlfriend had one of the chicken dishes and because I was so busy with my plate I didn't infringe upon her lunch and she enjoyed it. I love Mexican food and am pretty easy going as far as most restaurants in the area. That being said Cozumel exceeded my expectations and will be returning to try some other dishes (and definitely including the margaritas which they have on special and I won't...
Read moreOMG! I've been seeing this place whenever I went to Hobby Lobby, but was nervous to go because I had no reference to base anyone's experience off of. Recently, my mom went with my brother and his girlfriend and she loved it! This is coming from a woman who rarely eats authentic Mexican food. My mom decided to take me for a celebratory dinner for getting a new job! Wow! Inside this place is aesthetically beautiful, and the food was so delicious. The servings were enormous....just know that you are going to take food home unless you have an enormous appetite. The service was amazing! I loved the bachata music that was playing overhead...it made for a really festive dinner. All that was missing was some dancing and I would have been down for that! Our server, Jesus, was incredible and really top-notch when it came customer service. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!! If I could give Cozumel more stars than...
Read moreWe went for Cinco de Mayo. Restaurant was very busy. Chips and salsa were okay. Kids menu is reasonably priced and had some American food choices like Kraft style macaroni and cheese and chicken strips. This was good for my picky son.
There is ample parking. Portions are decent. Food taste was average. Steak was inconsistent. I would say this is not that authentic for Mexican food, but is still decent.
Everyone I spoke to seemed to speak English. Restaurant was clean and was decorated nicely.
The only negatives we experienced was slowish service since it was packed, a wobbly table, and not getting the correct price for the special. Not a big deal to me.
From my observations driving by regularly, this place is rarely packed. Overall, not a place we would frequent, but...
