This place located at 6010 CR 579 Seffner, FL 33584 is affordable (You get what you pay for-Kinda) and you do pay a pet fee although these folks are NOT pet friendly especially to larger dogs; in fact when you take your dog out its always called into the office as a complaint even though these people are no where near the designated dog park! and Florida doesn't have any leash laws like they always tell you. Certain cities have their own ordinances and private property (such as the hotel) is completely different when you pay a fee. The manager Beverly Crandle is far from professional but has job security as the corp office can not get anyone else to do the job apparently and calls and complaints to them in Savannah GA go to deaf ears. My own issue really has nothing to do with the fact that we have a dog but to the fact that you have the cleaning crew (all complain about pets) that peek through closed windows and when you call the front desk to address the issue it is met with what are you doing wrong?...I had just gotten out of the shower and thought they were looking for the 3 folks up above us as there was an obvious altercation going on (these people were also the friends of one of the girls that worked there and may have been staying FREE) so my complaints of the banging around for several hours went no where. Peering in your windows was just a regular part of what the staff are apparently told to do. Huge issue here when it comes to privacy -it was a small room and I was getting out of the shower...I called the front desk spoke to the manager Beverly Crandle and she told us to leave as I was not happy there...They even called it into the Sheriffs office by saying threats were being mad against their lives...UNTRUE and after the Deputy got there he should have arrested the Manager of the property. She thought we were down and out also- My car had died, I lost my wallet , my son has a brain tumor and I wasn't working as of yet as I recently relocated to the state - the Manager knew all this so her act of trowing us off the property was one meant to knowingly actually hurt my son and I- We are okay and living well in our new home I still have the dead car but have a new truck and my sons tumor is stable although that day may have worsen things if this is the case a lawsuit will definitely be filed for damages. With the exception of my sons condition (brain tumor) all is well with us but for most this would have been a great devastation. WARNING: Just because its cheap DON'T DO IT!!! These folks don't have any control of their own lives and this it...
Read moreI stayed at Masters Inn in Seffner, in room #121, from the end of July until recently. When we first arrived, the weekly rate was $400, but due to having two dogs, an additional pet fee of $20 per dog was added. Midway through our stay, the rate was increased to $420, despite the room being outdated and in poor condition.
The room had multiple issues, including roaches, a leaking sink, water seeping from the wall base, malfunctioning outlets, and a non-functional smoke detector. The toilet constantly ran, the air conditioner was falling apart, and there were stickers from previous guests left on the furniture. In room #221, there was a bathroom leak, with water from the toilet spilling onto the floor, seeping through the ceiling near a light fixture in my room. Despite informing management, no action was taken.
The TV was missing a remote, and the office staff was consistently rude, especially when making requests. The hotel does not have an elevator, and the advertised handicap-accessible rooms are misleading. The internet was unreliable, and the TV channels were limited, with some channels removed midway through my stay. Additionally, the bottom drawer of the dresser wouldn't close properly. In addition to the increased room rate, which is now higher than when we first arrived, the property has significantly declined over time. There used to be a pool, but it's no longer available. The area surrounding the motel is noisy, with frequent disturbances from drug activity and fights. Police are called daily to address the issues. The washer and dryers are often out of order, and the ice machine is frequently unavailable as well. These ongoing issues have contributed to an overall unpleasant and unsafe environment. At least 2 registered sex offenders are staying on property. Children frolic free with no adult supervision.I even saw a child in a diaper , running around with clothes on in the cold . Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend...
Read moreI cannot say enough wonderful things about this wonderful place! Right now they are in the middle of renovations but the workers are unobtrusive and very polite and would do anything for you even if they have to stop what they are doing to help a guest. I have to say that when my husband, son and myself first came here and we explained our situation, these folks did not hesitate to do everything in their power to help us as much as they could. You see, we were forced from our family home of 50 years and had no where to go. These folks at Masters have been kind, understanding and most important of all have treated my husband, son and myself with the utmost respect. I wish I could remember everyone's name but just to thank a few, Ms. Beverly. I hope to actually meet you and thank you personally. To Marcie, I have faith that your daughter will make a full recovery. To Rhonda, Ms. Kimberly, Autumn, Merdita, Ms. April, Ms. Diana and to all of the others. We so want to thank you. I've ALWAYS known there are Angels among us and I am proud to say that I have met so many of you here. Not one of you have hesitated to show your kindness, understanding and compassion. No, we were given nothing for free, except coffee. What we were given was MUCH more valuable. We were treated with the utmost respect and not one of these wonderful ever looked down on us because we were down on our luck. I will always have a special place of love in my heart for Masters Inn and Suites on S.R. 579. Thank you again Ms. Beverly and to ALL your staff for making a very difficult situation something that I will remember with a smile and more gratitude than you...
