While we understand that during our health crisis certain services and availability is limited, the customer service we received was absolutely unacceptable.
We were loyal patrons of Popeye’s establishments, and have two establishments in close proximity to our residence to choose from. We have purchased food from this particular franchise on several occasions since their opening, with the same order each visit, without incident.
My wife chose to purchase from the Seffner, Florida Popeye’s for our evening meal, through the drive through, which has now become standard operations during our health crisis. Like she has on all previous visits, she ordered our usual 10 piece, all dark meat mild chicken, with two side orders and biscuits. After placing her order at the intercom menu board, she was instructed to pull forward when space permitted. Forty Five (45) minutes later, my wife arrived at the window to pay for her order. She was told that she could not receive the “all dark meat” order she had placed. When she informed the Cashier that she only wanted dark meat, the Cashier relied on the store Manager to inform her that an “all dark meat” order was not possible. When my wife informed the Manager that she has ordered the same in the past without problem, she was informed from the Manager that “Corporate no longer allowed all dark meat orders and she would have to accept a mixed 10 piece order or nothing”, which we do not believe to be a factual directive from your corporate office. Because my wife knew it was already getting late for our evening meal, she paid for the order she did not place, but complained to me upon arrival at our residence.
I can assure you that although your problem with this branch is significant, it can be repaired by expedient action of direct counseling to Management and Staff, clear protocols to inform customers of changes in available products, and customer service training for all employees of this branch. That being said, we are thoroughly disappointed that the Branch Manager did nothing to accommodate my wife’s order, and without a plausible explanation.
This review has been previously sent to the Popeye's Corporate Office, with a follow-up email due to our receiving ZERO response from them.
Note to Consumers; If you use this Popeye's Branch, good luck to you as you are ON YOUR OWN! It is apparent that the Popeye's franchise does not concern themselves with your bad service, inappropriate actions of Management and Staff, or care enough to follow-up on a complaint. Wait until someone becomes ill and uses the services of legal counsel to resolve Management problems at...
Read moreMy family enjoys Popeyes chicken once maybe twice a month. Today I walked into the store as I had a coupon and could not use the app to order. I walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter advised that if I wanted to place an order, I had to use the kiosk. I said so you can't take my order, I have a coupon. She said I have to use the kiosk and walked away. Standing there dumbfounded, an employee did come around the front of the counter and assisted my with my order. I did not have my glasses and could not see the numbers on the coupon. The family behind me saw what I was going through and told the manager if they wouldn't take their order, then they will eat elsewhere. The manager said they would have to use the kiosk, they all went to Arby's next door. While I was waiting for my order I asked to talk with the manager. When she came out I asked when this change happened and she advised that this change happened a week ago. I asked so no one can take an order from a customer? She advised that the kiosk was the only way to order and that was the way everything was going to.
Even at McDonalds you can still walk up to the counter and place an order.
I can't say that the customer service was horrible because an employee did assist me with my order but I had to touch the screen as she said she wasn't allowed. Tha manager couldn't care less.
Yes, I know that using the app to place an order is similar but if I wanted to specialize my order you aren't able to do that so I would go to the counter to place my specialized order.
I think it's sad the way customer service or the lack there of is headed. As a consumer I am having to do more work and still have to pay...
Read moreI stopped in to pick up some 20 Chicken Tenders and three sides on 12/17/2024 at 6:00pm on my way home from the office. The person at the register was very short and acted like I was bothering her when I gave my order. "Tenders dont come in a 20 piece" and pointed at the board. I simply then asked, can I have two 10 pieces with three sides. Again, i was bothering her it seemed like. She then told me it was 55.00 for the order....I paid it as we love the product and waited for it to be prepared. The person packing up the order packed everything up , asked what sauces we prefer and I thanked her and headed home. Got home and opened the chicken and it was extremely overcooked. I made a quick call and asked if I could speak to a manager, the person I spoke with said the manager was not available. I explained to her the situation and was told, I could bring them back but they had to "look at them". I thanked them and ended the call. At this point I basically threw them out as I did not want to drive 25 min away for someone to "look" at them. I want to make it clear.....Our family loves Popeyes and even though the price has increased , we still make it a meal we enjoy often. It just will not be from this...
