EDIT: Astonishingly hostile, shrill, and unprofessional phone call received at 11:30am on 6/12. Owner/manager (?) called about "nasty" reviews and "slander" (note: nothing above is "slanderous"...just because someone doesn't like what you have to say about them, doesn't make it untrue).||||Generally just confirmed my initial impression surrounding the lack of professionalism exhibited by this establishment. If they are willing to call someone up and, instead of try to address and rectify any misunderstanding are INSTEAD looking for a fight...clearly these folks are just a hot mess. DEFINITELY stay away.||||Original Review: "POLICY IS POLICY", even when it is detrimental to their business.||||So unfortunate. I run an event that tries to support local businesses. We reserved and paid for 5 campsites one weekend, and referred a number of our vendor to this location as well.||||Despite that, the campground would not hold reservations for the following weekend without full payment in advance. We asked them to hold it for three days and were told "policy is policy".||||Also, apparently one of our campers taking their child to the comfort station in the rain, so they drove over. Apparently they had barely parked for a moment before somebody in a staff shirt came out berating them for parking there. At 2:00 a.m. Ridiculous. But again, apparently, "policy is policy", logic and business sense be damned.||||Terrible way to treat a business looking to grow a relationship and not only paid for a number of sites, but directed campers...

Original review: "POLICY IS POLICY", even when it is detrimental to their business.

So unfortunate. I run an event that tries to support local businesses. We reserved and paid for 5 campsites one weekend, and referred a number of our vendor to this location as well.

Despite that, the campground would not hold reservations for the following weekend without full payment in advance. We asked them to hold it for three days and were told "policy is policy".

Terrible way to treat a business looking to grow a relationship and not only paid for a number of sites, but directed campers...

Very quiet camprgound. Had site 58. We did make reservations in March for the weekend of June 27th and told them there would be 1 camper and 6 women. /they thought it was 4 women but let us have the site. The bathrooms were very clean and free showers were a plus. Only stayed there for the weekend so we can have a beach day. Were very grateful to Jim and Larry who work there and helped us with the camper when we had a slight malfunction closing it up. The draw backs with this camp ground is you HAD to leave it to do anything fun but that was our plan so it really wasn't an issue with us. The sites are small. they charge for an extra vehicle and fires HAVE to be out at 11pm which to me is telling 6 grown women that we had to go to bed because there isn't much to do when you put the fire out but go to bed. Most likely won't be using this campground again but I would recommend it to other people who really like a quiet area to escape. We are use to camping by a river, huge sites, pool and AWESOME game room in NH but we really wanted a beach this time. Oh this is also a Sam's Club campground which is why we chose it since I have a membership. Planning on trying other Good Sam's camprgrounds in the cape area in years to come to see how they compare...

This was my 3rd year and i figured id do a review 1. This is a quiet campground period..if you wanna party goto peters pond park they are not having it here quiet time at most camp grounds are 10 anyway quiet time is strictly enforced 2. Theres a reason they have a policy on cars tents and #of adults..dont try n twist it you wont win 3. This is a nice small CAMP ground that accommodates rvs, campers, pop ups,and tents...itsa CAMP ground not a rv resort..the sites are snug for some rv ers but i think the're perfect (again on the car tent adults policy) 4. If you're looking for bingo night or square dancing goto a koa..not gonna find it here itsa small place its located in the middle of cape cod..theres a world of activitiesoutside the grounds,i luv it 5. Im writing this cause i actually read the reviews before i left(i heard somebody complaining bout parking 2 cars..read the rules!!)and figured id give my 2 bits..the bad reviews really dont reflect on the grounds..more so bad experiences, rule breakers or people just not reading rules..3 years ive had a blast trust me

I’d give more stars if I could! Our first time to Cape Cod was last year and we stayed 8 nights at Shady Knoll. We loved it so much that we booked for this year and we’re finishing up our 15 night stay. This campground is quiet, well maintained, and everyone that works here has been incredibly friendly. The showers and bathrooms are kept clean - plus great water pressure and we’ve never run out of hot water. We appreciate the (enforced) quiet hours from 10pm-8am - we’ve never had a poor night’s sleep. There’s a market within walking distance and that’s a huge plus for that item you inevitably forget. They have a little of everything there and they are really friendly, too! You’re close to several beaches, bike trail, great restaurants.. the location is hard to beat. We’re still here and we are already planning our 2024 trip back!

We had a lovely private campsite, and the campground itself had nice bathrooms with free showers. The nature trail that you can access from the campground is really lovely and extends to a community garden and a wood and there's even a whole self-guided tour you can take that starts at a kiosk at the community garden. The people were friendly and hands off and the campground was conveniently located to all kinds of great birding locations. There was a really nice built-in bench at our campsite, too. The ground was very hard and it was hard to hammer in the stakes for the tent and also there were a lot of rocks on the ground. Also be careful of the poison ivy.
