As of July 2025, our family has stayed here for 15 summers and we’ll keep coming back! Over the years, we’ve stayed in the double queen rooms, but our favorite is the room with three queen beds. When we bring more people, we opt for the spacious suite with four beds and a full kitchen. This motel has gone from good to better to truly excellent.
The rooms are all freshly remodeled with new mattresses, clean carpet, and big TVs equipped with all the streaming services. There’s even a full-size refrigerator in every room, which is incredibly convenient. Every room we’ve ever stayed in has been smoke-free, super clean, and smelled fresh. We always return from a day out to a spotless room vacuumed floors, fresh towels, and a cool blast from the air conditioner (seriously, it will freeze you out if you want it to!).
As someone who travels often and stays in a lot of hotels, I can say confidently, some of the negative reviews out there just don’t line up with reality. In 15 years, we’ve never seen a bug, never walked into a dirty bathroom, and never had to deal with any weird smells. I have six kids, and these rooms have always accommodated us comfortably.
The staff is always kind, welcoming, and helpful. While there’s no on-site laundry, breakfast, pool, or hot tub, the location makes up for it Walmart and Pruitt’s are directly across the road, tons of fast food options nearby, and a fantastic Mexican restaurant right next door.
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. It’s not the Hilton but honestly, I’d rather stay here. If you’re planning a trip to Broken Bow, don’t overlook this gem. You won’t be...
Read moreTypically when I go to Beaver's Bend State Park, I stay in Hochatown, OK about 8 miles North of Broken Bow. This last trip was last minute on Labor Day weekend, so everything in Beavers Bend was booked, and it was too hot to camp. I had seen hotels and motels along the way in the past, and none of them looked great. But A-OK Motel, just north of the Walmart in Broken Bow, looked clean when I had driven past it before. It looks like the rooms were all recently redone with new carpeting, furniture, TVs, A/C unit, and even tub and bath fixtures. My room had a queen-sized bed, microwave and refrigerator, clean sheets and towels and some other amenities (end table, small table, coffee maker and one chair). It was nothing fancy, but it was clean and I was there for one night. The host at the motel was friendly and seemed pleased that I was staying there. When I got there, there weren't many cars, but when I got back from fishing that night, the place had filled up. For $48.80/night , I got a good hot water shower, was in close proximity to Love's Truck Stop and a couple of fast food restaurants, and was able to park off the street; I would stay here again. I was just looking for a clean place to say overnight and found it...
