I really wanted to love this place on our last trip to Broken Bow from Dallas since most restaurants there are just ok and typical tourist food. Our server was ok. Every table had rolls but ours so finally asked for them and his service was not particularly fast or friendly. My husband is on a carb break and asked for a burger with no bun and it came out just a plastic looking meat patty. No fixings and still at full price. We asked for and got some of the condiments, but the burger was poor quality and he maybe finished a third of it until we decided we needed to find another place for dinner. I ordered the quail which I normally enjoy. I had one bite and it tasted.... different. After Another small bite I made my husband try one that he immediately spit out because what I took for a different, pickled, almost sour taste he took as the meat was bad. Which on vacation I didn't want to risk getting sick because he was indeed right...it wasn't sour it was bad meat. so we informed the server and had the plate removed. He didn't take it away after we said it was bad until we asked him to. Even the rice with the dish was just mushy. Hoping this was just an off day but we won't be returning...

First time definitely not the last, all of you out of visitors looking for the better Dining around Broken Bow area , this is the gem of the entire area. Menu is simple Salad for starters is amazing dressings made in house the bacon honey mustard is a must, as is the Balsamic. Rib-eye is the choice tonight, was done to absolute perfection , The favor, was second to none that I have ever had anywhere!!! Hutch our waiter tonight was forthwith of the Rogue Local fare, stating the steaks are larger than published no doubt True, and juicy with favor, it was a complete joy to savior each morsel. Side dishes of fresh Squash & Zucchini with cream cheese and mozzarella was excellent as was the smash potato. More than anyone ever needed, we should have split the Rib-eye. Hutch presented us with the capper of the meal , Red Velvet Cake really great even though we were full-up. The restaurant is quiet and relaxing mode, with calming music for the background, Tables are very spaced out, allowing for a very comfortable dining experience, then the chairs are sitting chairs not your ordinary restaurant chairs a great surprise. Rogue Local is gem hidden among the stones in this area. Do yourself a...

Thr only think that would have made it with the food. I mean don't get me wrong. I had the steak and fries. It could have been better. I mean if that was my restaurant I would have cooked the steak and fries for it to be sent out while the other food was being ready. I mean the steak was good but the fries with the cheese on top of the fries. Now there where the problem was. The fries shouldn't have been cooked as long as they where. And then put the steak on there right after it comes off the grill. And then put the shredded cheese on there so it could melt and as soon as u sat it down at the table. Then when the customer goes and reaches for it and pulls one of the fries off the plate and the cheese is on the fries then it would have made a long string of cheese. But that's just my input tho. I mean it was...
