I really wanted to love this place on our last trip to Broken Bow from Dallas since most restaurants there are just ok and typical tourist food. Our server was ok. Every table had rolls but ours so finally asked for them and his service was not particularly fast or friendly. My husband is on a carb break and asked for a burger with no bun and it came out just a plastic looking meat patty. No fixings and still at full price. We asked for and got some of the condiments, but the burger was poor quality and he maybe finished a third of it until we decided we needed to find another place for dinner. I ordered the quail which I normally enjoy. I had one bite and it tasted.... different. After Another small bite I made my husband try one that he immediately spit out because what I took for a different, pickled, almost sour taste he took as the meat was bad. Which on vacation I didn't want to risk getting sick because he was indeed right...it wasn't sour it was bad meat. so we informed the server and had the plate removed. He didn't take it away after we said it was bad until we asked him to. Even the rice with the dish was just mushy. Hoping this was just an off day but we won't be returning...

I mean if that was my restaurant I would have cooked the steak and fries for it to be sent out while the other food was being ready. I mean the steak was good but the fries with the cheese on top of the fries. Now there where the problem was. The fries shouldn't have been cooked as long as they where. And then put the steak on there right after it comes off the grill. And then put the shredded cheese on there so it could melt and as soon as u sat it down at the table. Then when the customer goes and reaches for it and pulls one of the fries off the plate and the cheese is on the fries then it would have made a long string of cheese. But that's just my input tho. I mean it was...
