If you like to party until 3 in the morning, this might be the place for you. We planned on staying here 2 nights and ended up leaving the 2nd night due to excessive noise from a group who occupied most of the upstairs and decided to run up and down the balcony from room to room and use the beds above us as trampolines. My Brother in Law confronted these people at 3 in the morning on the first night. After complaining to the front desk about the noise he was told that taking matters into his own hands was the best way to handle these situations. We hoped for the best as we all settled in for the second night. No such luck, starting around 10:30 it began again. Things got louder as the night progressed and I decided it was my turn to confront these people. After all, this is what was recommended after I lodged my own complaint about the noise. This quickly escalated and we had the manager, owner, and park rangers out by midnight. We explained the situation to the owner who replied, “Well, we can’t expect them to walk on air up there”. I asked her if she would like to sleep in one of our rooms for the night and see how she liked it. She did not think that was such a great idea. Seeing that she was more than happy to side with those partying over those trying to sleep, we decided it would be best for us to leave the 3 rooms we occupied. I told her we would be leaving and she should refund us for that night or I would be posting this review on social media. She considered that a threat and was not about to refund anything, so here is her review. My advice, plan far enough ahead so you can book a cabin and stay away from this...
Read moreThe hotel was ok. The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and what is promised in the description is true. I have no issues with any of that stuff. The hotel is located across the road from the entrance to Beavers bend national Park which is very nice. Shopping for local crafts and touristy things to do are also close by. So the location actually gets 5 stars. I give 3 stars for the following things I found that don't make the price of the room worth it. Now these could be nitpicking, but 156.00 with tax included for a double bed room is pricey. The toilet was a slow flush hardly anything would go down and im talking about urine not the other stuff. The television was a little poor quality with the picture and the remote was missing the battery cover. The bedside lamp had a hole in the light shade and directions from the desk clerk to the room were not great, I circled the building once before I realized there was another arena a little farther back past the pool. Normally I wouldn't even mention that, but I've stayed and lived in motels across the United States for work and never actually had issues finding my room in a place this small. Now those were my issues and like I said I might be nitpicking some like the battery cover missing to the remote control after all it still worked as did the lamp with the hole in the shade, but I also expect better with the price I paid. All in all though considering the location and the fact that the temperature was a 107 degrees outside and the air conditioning worked perfectly I was satisfied and if I find myself needing a room for the night I would use this...
Read moreThis is the first negative review I ever made.||My husband and I are in our 40's and are avid travelers. This is one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in.||1. We could not figure out how to get the water to come out the shower head.||2. Bath towels were a little larger than hand towels and very rough.||3. Bath mat was fringed and freyed.||4. Extreme amount of gross grime and dirt on inside of front door by the handle. ||5. Plug-in air freshener plugged into the wall, I'm assuming to hide odors.||6. 12 cup Coffee maker that needed a coffee filter and coffee but instead came with Kurig style cups.||7. Remote control for T.V. wouldn't work||8. The attic access above the door had a 24" broken wooden piece and was laying on the floor of the room||9. Door handle was very loose and about to fall off.||10. We accidentally got locked out of our room and I went to the office to get a new key but they were closed, locked up and all staff members were absent by 6:30p.m. on a Saturday night.||11. Beds were stiff, scratchy sheets and the bedding smelled like air freshener, which gave us headaches. ||||We checked out before the sun came up the next morning. We called the office to explain our concerns and see how they would accommodate us. ||The woman on the phone said she could write our info on a sticky note and give us a 50% discount on our next stay.||We declined. We would never consider staying here again.||Save your money and your sanity! Find another...
