Arrived to dine at 2PM on a Friday. Empty restaurant and I attempted to sit at the bar but it smelled mildewy/musty. They kindly moved me to the patio. Very nicely decorated restaurant and smaller tables for 2. Even by myself the table was too small for a bottle of champagne, salad, and lasagna. I assume these small 2 tops are for more table turns. Flies on the patio were horrendous. Service: Service was ok, not sure she was happy with me moving and having to wait on me outside as I was her only table and moved to the patio. The Food: Good caesar dressing, just too much, even after asking for light (for me.) Lasagna was good with bolognese sauce. Noodles were a little thick, but it was cooked well so it wasn’t an issue. Purchased a bottle of Veuve Cliquot Brut champagne and I’m not sure the server knew what it was. She kept calling it wine, served it in a wine glass, and sat it on the table to get hot. Asked for it to be corked to go as it would be too hot to drink another glass. Then an ice bucket was brought. Little confused at that point. I understand it’s a small town, but I just wouldn’t serve it, if service isn’t there. When the check came, the bottle was $130 vs the $125 listed on the menu and even written on the bottle in white marker. For me, not a huge deal, but I could see why that may be frustrating for there considering there is a lot of tourism here. These aren’t complaints, just feedback about the details. Overall, it’s a cute place with decent food. Definitely “instagrammable,” if that’s what you are looking for while here. I would come back and hope for better service, especially with a $150+ tab for 1 person.

Pressa Italia is the best kept secret in Broken Bow! When we arrived, we was instantly greeted by Alicia and seated right away. The staff was all friendly and welcoming. We started off with a bruschetta , the focaccia bread was to die for topped with fresh purple onion, tomato, and balsamic vinegar . Next we had the fungi (mushrooms). The broth and mushrooms had a wonderful flavor profile and I would recommend adding it as a side to any meal. Next which we forgot to take a picture of was the shrimp scampi. It was by far the best thing we had. The shrimp were huge, soft and tasted like butter lobster if you didn’t know better. The sauce part had a complex flavor profile that should be found in a Michelin star restaurant! For our final entrée we had a white pizza. The crust was hand tossed and perfectly cooked. The cheese and spinach complemented the rotisserie chicken well topped with a fresh pesto sauce. Lastly for dessert we had an olive oil cake topped with whipped cream and fresh berries. There was nothing we tried we didn’t like or would change in any way. They used the freshest ingredients and made most of what we had from scratch. Chef Karl came out at the end of the service and ask for an honest review and this is it! You have made a customer for life, and you really do have the best food in Broken bow! Thank you for having us, we will be back soon!

FINALLY there is a nice restaurant in Broken Bow with fabulous food, atmosphere and service! We booked reservations in advance to ensure our larger group would be able to get in. Service was impeccable. I recommend taking clothing layers if you are sitting inside. The restaurant was ice cold and I would not have been able to sit through dinner without a jacket. Everyone in our group liked their dishes. Lasagna was some of the best I've ever had and the parmesan cream sauce on top makes it. LOVE that the cheese board option allows for the customer to choose from a HUGE variety of cheeses. This is the only restaurant I've seen do this. Only suggested comments in our group was that the chicken on the fettucine could have had a little more seasoning, tortellini pasta shells could have been less "doughy" and the tiramisu could have had a little thicker layer of ladyfingers and espresso flavor. Some of those may be personal taste, and nothing that would keep us from coming back. There is also an outdoor patio in mild weather. Currently, there are only beer, wine and champagne choices on the menu. I do hope they eventually expand to a full bar with signature cocktails. Can't wait to come back and eat here!

Update to my review. We were in the area again last Friday night and decided to give it another try. There were menu additions as stated in the response from my prior review from the business. However, nothing that we were interested in. They now seat you and Bill you after the meal. One gentleman asked where we wanted to sit. We requested outside in the patio area again (which is still mostly blocked off). Then the guy never interacted with us again. Another younger gentleman who was super nice came by, asked us where we wanted to sit and took us to the patio. It took a while before our waitress came to take our order. Once she did, we ordered a margherita and a quattro formaggi pizza. The margherita pizza came first. It was ok. Could have used more cheese. Then came the quattro formaggi which is/was our favorite. Grabbed the first slice, started eating and realized the bottom was burned. Picked up the rest of the pizza to examine and it was very burned. It was as though the pan used was not cleaned off and remnants from other pizzas were present. We showed the waitress and she took it back so they could make us another pizza TO GO. Not exactly desirable because pizza usually sticks to the box when hot and of course it did. The crust wasn't as good as the past visits and must have changed because it actually broke out my skin. Makes me wonder if they changed ingredients, high gluten maybe. The price is already too high and now it isn't as good as initially. We won't be going back. On the upside, the young man who say us was very good to us, taking care of us and checking on us when our waitress was away and even cleaned us off a better table.

My wife and I have visited twice now. The first, we were by ourselves and were in a hurry so ordered the Pizza Quattro Formaggi to go. We sat outside on the patio as we waited because it was too cold inside. We thought it strange the way the patio was walled off. You have to actually walk back through the restaurant, through the courtyard and back around the front to the parking lot. The pizza was good. We enjoyed the gorgonzola cheese on the pie especially. We were back that way Friday with our two children so we decided to stop in and let them try it. It was 8:30 p.m. and they only had one crust left for a pizza so we ordered the same again. We would have purchased two but not an option. Looked for other things we might eat but ultimately decided on nothing else. Service was lacking. Sat in the patio area again as it was still too cold in the restaurant and apparently sitting in the shared courtyard area is not an option. Had to get our own silverware, more napkins, no carafe of water provided this time as they were being cleaned. When we were leaving, I made it all the way around the maze to my vehicle when the waitress called out to us to say that we didn't close out our check. They take your order and have you pay prior like a fast food restaurant but this time they left the check open in case we ordered other items. I had to walk all the way back around the maze again just to sign the ticket. The place is too expensive for what is offered and the experience. I have been to many places and resort towns, understanding that such areas are more expensive. However, my family grew up in this area and I have been around it many years. Hochatown is not resort town level status...

We were excited to come here for dinner for our friends birthday. We were also excited to see something new in broken bow on this visit. Started out by ordering a few drinks, girlfriend got a glass of wine and I got a dirty martini. Now I know I obviously ordered it dirty but it honestly tasted like I was drinking straight olive juice. I couldn’t even finish it. We ordered the bruschetta appetizer and the meatballs. It took a good while to get those out, my husband was excited to try the meatballs. The bruschetta was very good would definitely order that again, but meatballs came out cold. Our waitress was very sweet, we told her just so that she would know so she could let the kitchen know. She stated that this had been a reoccurring problem with the meatballs coming out cold lately. She insisted on remaking them and brought us out a whole other order and they were fresh and hot. She also told us she wouldn’t charge us for them even though we insisted she didn’t have to do that. I will say that they lack seasoning and could use a little bit more flavor. We ordered all our food and after waiting about 30 minutes, our waitress came up and informed us that some glass had been broke next to our order that was in the window, so therefore, unfortunately, for safety reasons, they were gonna have to remake our whole order. We were understanding about that obviously, and she said that they were putting a rush on the order. It took another 20+ minutes to get our food. Everybody else else’s food came out (3 pasta dishes) unfortunately mine did not, which was a salad with shrimp. She informed me that it was in the window and she would be right back with it. It took an additional 15 minutes ( obviously it was forgotten when they had to remake everyone’s food ) to get my salad and by then everybody else was done eating. I will say my salad was really good and my shrimp was cooked well. Our server was nice and apologetic. She did offer dessert on the house, which was nice since it was our friends birthday. My husband and I have worked in the service industry in our younger years and understand that things happen. We don’t know if it was a problem with our waitress or a kitchen problem. We kind of joked with her about it a little bit and she said that they had a new person expediting the line and that’s why everything was getting mixed up and messed up and that they shouldn’t have a new person on the line expediting food on a Saturday night. Again, we understand that things happen for the most part. Most of our food was good one friend ordered the pesto and he really enjoyed that. My husband ordered the chicken Parmesan, it was just ok, it could definitely use a more seasoning and my other friend ordered a pasta dish and she said it was lacking seasoning. Obvious this place is newer and I think they’re probably still working out the kinks. Hopefully they will settle into a good groove and work through these issues. I think the biggest surprise for us with all the problems at our table never once had a...

Nice looking place, not so good food and service.

I booked a "table" in this place because in pictures it looked amazing, and the reviews i read spoke good about it, so i thought it was a good place to have our 1st wedding anniversary with them and celebrate with my wife.

For starters, the table they gave us, if you can call that a table, it was ridiculously small, literally we could only fit one plate of food, our 2 glasses with water and drinks, and on top of that it was wobbly to the extent that a napkin had to be used to shim it.

The chairs....oh man, whoever chosed the chairs to be used in this restaurant, needs to be fired or punished to use this chair for life, it is the most uncomfortable chair i have ever sat down in a restaurant, I can't believe that when the "design phase" of this place was conceived, someone thought "of this chairs are perfect for our patrons, they will sit barely fitting into them and slide down every 2 seconds and love them". A massive failure on the experience, because after 5 minutes of sitting on this, you forget about the food or place and only think about how awful this chairs are.

Our waitress was ok, it seem like she was not very happy, and to be honest we had to be asking her the entire time to refill our waters, i don't appreciate to have to be asking for things when im expected to "leave a good tip" which in this case it was 20% even when to be honest it was not deserved, but hey, this tip culture is ou of control now and i wanted to do right by her, even when the service was average.

The food, i mean, if you want to go to a place that looks good and gives you a feeling of "having money" , this is your place, if you want to eat real italian food that actually tastes good and the portions compensate for what you are paying, this is not the place for you.

The pizza was ok, burned in most of it, yes, i know it is cooked in a brick oven and it happens, but still, it was bland and burned.

The scampi, dissapointing, pasta was barely hot, they gave us a portion like for a kid to eat and 4 shrimps of average size, this for 28 bucks........and no i am not broke, but i believe in getting what you pay for , and in all honesty , we did not get it here.

It was a sad experience for my anniversary ,but I will leave to each person to visit this place, to have their own opinion, although, they can kind of use this review to prepare for what they will...
