Local Habit — Restaurant in Broken Bow

This is a pretty good coffee shop at the Hochabow shopping complex along US 259 in between Hochatown and Broken Bow. They are located in the interior courtyard area of Hochabow next to the Loblolly Chocolates shop. Opening hours are 7am to 4pm (Sat & Sun), 7.30am to 6pm (weekdays), closed on Tuesdays.

The interior is modern and nice, nice selection of proper coffees and non-coffee drinks, they have a few light bites as well. I stopped here during a recent stay in Hochatown and was served a good espresso macchiato with just the right amount of milk to cut the edge as well as a a bit of foam to add texture to the drink. This was a pretty good macchiato, one I'd be happy to have again next time...

Our first time here (not to Broken Bow), and my expectations were diminished a little. I believe this is an easy fix, though. The employees were pleasant and the coffee was good - but a few things to note: they were out of all food items at 10:30am, had no napkins, and the only public restroom is located outside in the shopping area. Also the prices were a little steep. Since it’s Spring Break week, these are not dealbreakers but I was definitely looking forward to the breakfast tacos on their online menu. Girl working this morning 2/28 made the place feel uncomfortable. Didn’t greet so I greeted first and no response, partner did the same and still nothing… no eye contact or talking. Feeling strange we decide to take a seat and wait for our coffee, we wait a while and hear nothing and realize she just placed our coffee out and said absolutely nothing?? Uhh hello??? We weren’t even in view of where she put them… Such a cool place but never been treated that way before…Coffee was decent. Definitely try out the chocolate shop right next to it, the lady working...
