Where do I start... smh I USED to enjoy this hotel.. I've stayed here on a few occasions and b4 my experience has been pretty decent. However, this last time was TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE which prompted me to write this review. I booked a PREMIUM suite and upon check in the shorter heavy-set white woman insisted she gave us the correct room which she did NOT. I had to pull up the pictures on my phone to "Prove" to her I booked a larger PREMIUM room and even showed her the receipt for it. She simply did not care and said she had given all those rooms away and were no longer available. She just allowed us to be overcharged for a smaller mediocre room and did not offer to compensate or refund me in anyway for the price difference, which should have been done immediately for the inconvenience, and for not giving us the APPROPRIATE room we PAID for in ADVANCE . The room was smaller but we didn't have any other option at the time so we dealt with it. We get to the room with all of our stuff and all of our card keys were not working.. this was the most ridiculous annoying part of our stay That & the front desk staff and their HORRIBLE ATTITUDES towards us when we asked for help regarding them.Stayed for 2 nights and the room keys had gotten reset at least about 8 times. It was such a hassle just to try to enjoy anything ,our room, the pool area, or going in and out of the hotel in general was super frustrating. When we asked the hotel staff for help they gave us DIRTY LOOKS as if we were pranking them every time we were locked out. I'm pretty sure there was something wrong with our door key reader and that is most likely why we kept having issues but the front HOTEL STAFF WAS TOO LAZY TO BOTHER PUTTING IN A WORK ORDER TO FIX IT. This could have avoided us having to constantly be locked out of our room which was a total nuisance our entire stay. One of the times I went down with my boyfriend to get help with the keys and the other front desk person who looks Native American/Hispanic and has her hair in a bun gave us a smirk and rolled her eyes at us, as if we want to waste our time coming downstairs every time we were locked out of our room, when we PAID to stay here and RELAX not be STRESSED about some poorly made card keys. The room was pretty basic, nothing spectacular there are some stains in the carpet and couch was worn on the headrests and looked unattractive. The pool was freezing cold and seemed like their water heater was broken like an ice bath, which was unbearable & ultimately made the hot tub extremely crowded. No one checking the pool area to make sure rules were being followed. A big family was drinking and brought in pizzas and had all their teenage daughters hogging the hot tub just taking selfies while other couples and adults had to wait for them to get out to have a chance to enjoy it. In the past we had brought small snacks and juice boxes for the kids and were told we couldn't have any food or drink in the pool area but others are allowed to have pizza parties?? and told nothing. Then at breakfast the lady running it kept rushing around like she was on speed and kept briskly walking past our table which made my son and I feel uneasy that we couldn't even relax and enjoy our breakfast. She then went and told everyone prior to closing time that they had 8 mins to finish up because she's closing up exactly at 9:30am, which was very rude to me.Most hotels do not rush you out of the breakfast area considering it's only a few hours window and allow people to sit down and relax and eat as they should be able to.The only nice person we had a positive encounter with was a front desk girl named Yasmin who was the only one with a name tag on and smart enough & nice enough to put in a work order to help us out with our non-working keys after constant eye rolls from the other front desk people for majority of our stay. FRONT DESK STAFF DESPERATELY NEEDS MAJOR ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENTS and PROPER CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING !! Waste of Money & Time!! Go elsewhere for a positive experience &...
Read moreIf I could rate my service lower, I would. I came to this location for a relaxing weekend. It was anything but. The people above us were disrespectfully pounding and jumping until they couldn't anymore. They were also up at 6am screaming. Told front desk about it, they still didn't stop.
I'm not sure if people actually live there because guests were extremely comfortable bringing in a speaker and drinks to their room. Kids to the room was running up and down the hallway all night with pizza. Later there were Little Caesars pizza boxes sitting outside their door. Which tells me their very comfortable putting their trash outside instead of throwing it away. It sat in the hallway and was still there when checking out. Every time they saw my boyfriend and I, whoever was in their room made it uncomfortable like we were bothering them and would roll their eyes. Which makes me feel they live there from the comfortability of their actions. They were blasting music all night. Nothing was done. They also had their 3 kids by the counter down by the front desk playing with slime SITTING on the desk while no parent is in sight (I knew they belonged to the same group because the kid sitting on the desk rolled her eyes at my boyfriend earlier that evening and he recognized her). It obviously doesn't bother the front desk worker, she treated it like it was a regular Saturday night and this happens all the time. She didn't ask for their parents or to sit down, or to not bother guests or anything. She just allowed them take up space and disrupt other guests going in and out. If you have working cameras, you'll see it all. They were also up at 7AM on a Sunday BLASTING their music louder than the night before. Extremely rude and inconsiderate. I had to call twice after I already text the front desk. It was ridiculous.
The fact that I PAID to relax and I never was able to, is crazy. I could've stayed home to chaos for free. I booked based on location and the high rating. I'm unsure why they have a higher rating but maybe because they let their guests do whatever they want. I have never been to a hotel more out of control than this one. I've seen motels ran better. I contacted my booking site and told them about my experience. They contacted the hotel on my behalf for a refund for the inconvenience and it was denied. So I came here since my experience was horrible. If I can complain somewhere else, I'll definitely be doing that. Don't worry, you can tell the partiers I won't be back to...
Read moreLocated on a busy main street, access to and from The Inn was extremely easy. The lodging has ample parking and outside lighting is reasonable. Our stay was to be 2 days over Christmas Eve & Day, but for reasons I will explain; we left after one night. Generally speaking, the positives far outweigh the negatives. The facility is very large; it may take a few minutes to find your way around the hallways, pool, lobby (from your room), etc.The lobby is relatively small but checking in was simple and quick and the reception staff were friendly and capable. Our room was well maintained, the beds were comfortable, 3 pillows per queen bed, nice lighting, numerous outlets for electronic equipment and the like, a spacious bathroom included an excellent shower and ample counter space. The room has a single brew coffee maker, a refrigerator, and a television with quite a few channel selections. The breakfast area was well stocked and had most items anyone would want for choices. This area is one their best attributes. One special note: Many locations we've stayed have still faintly smelled of cigarette smoke even if noted as "Non-Smoking" rooms. This lodging had NONE of those smells; the room was clean and fresh smelling. Kudos to the cleaning staff for this.
Unfortunately, we were given a room right next door to a group of 4 young people (no parents in sight. Probably lodging somewhere else in the building). The kids; I'm guessing all under 16, were just too much for us. From 6:30 PM til 1:30AM they were noisy, banging, door slamming, cranked-up TV volume loud... I did call the front desk and although for a brief period the noise was more subdued, it didn't last long. We had spent many hours driving that day and just didn't have the energy to pack up everything to ask to move to another room. I was quite miffed that the staff would place us next door to these children who had no supervision (the lodging was not even marginally full). The following morning I asked for the general manager, but being a holiday, he was not in that day. Given that we didn't want another night of our next door neighbors or to move to another room, we left after one night and found another quieter place to sleep Christmas night. I understand these were just kids being kids on Christmas Eve; I'm not a scrooge. But lodgings are mostly for travelers who want to SLEEP. Staff should be more conscientious of where they place older...
