I donāt know where to start with this hotel. In my opinion be aware of the current 4 stars they have. Maybe something has changed recently over here but itās def not a 4 star hotel.
My family and I stayed here a few weeks ago I choose this property due to the reviews. It was a 2 night stay and everything was going fine until we started exploring the property. Letās start with this indoor pool. Itās was an icebox. Nobody went in it and when my children did they couldnāt stay in more than 5 mins. How can an indoor pool be unheated. We told the front desk several times and we always got the same response. āWeāll send maintenanceā. I never seen any maintenance come around. The outdoor pool was a bit warmer because it was outdoors but still a big let down as my kids were looking forward to swimming and enjoying the indoor pool.
I know. Big deal pool was cold but there was much more negative than positive here. The ice machine was not only not dispensing ice, the top of the machine was open and anyone can stick their hand in there to grab the already made ice. Again I went to the front desk to let them know and their response was Weāll send maintenance. Youāre not going to believe this but they never sent maintenance. The ice machine was in the same condition the entire time. This sounds very sanitary doesnāt it???
Again I know. Big deal. Pool is cold and ice machine was disgusting. Iām telling you thereās more.
Buffet. Front desk at check in never mentioned that you had to prepay for the buffet to get a deal on the food. We went down there the first morning of our stay to be greeted by the server and they wanted to charge some crazy amount for my family to eat. We ended up paying it because the kids were starving. I donāt normally complain about bad food or service. Check my reviews I donāt make many because I usually just let it slide. This buffet was horrendous. I couldnāt eat the eggs. They smelled awful and were cold. Nothing was labeled so it was all a guess as to what there was under the lids. I was only really able to stomach some of the bacon and luckily they had some cold cereal for my boys to eat. Remember they charged us like 20 a person to eat here. Terrible. Oh and also you might want to think about getting different glassware for the kiddos that have to eat here. You only put out glasses and a 4 year old may drop it sending glass flying everywhere. Also no gluten free options which we guessed because again nothing was labeled.
I know. Iām getting the title of big complainer. I can understand that. But I spent over 500 bucks for 2 nights and a Sheraton. I thought with the name of Sheraton I would be treated to a more upscale place. We could have gotten a better experience from a Motel 8. We have tried for the last few weeks to get in touch with their management to see if we could be refunded something for all the trouble but nothing!! Not even a response from the hotel manager. You are in the hospitality business. You probably should respond to your guests when issues arise. I probably wouldnāt ever be writing this review if you at least got back to us and apologized for the issues above.
I can keep going as there are a few more issues that came up. I emailed them all to management so they are aware of the situation but at this point my best course of action since they basically told me to kick dirt and deal with our level of service is to write this review in hoping that someone else who is on the verge of staying here looks elsewhere. There are a million hotels in this area and please AVOID this place if you can. Overpriced nonsense is what youāll get if you choose to stay here. Hope this review helps at least one family from making the mistake and booking at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the unfortunate opportunity to stay at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of horrendous. I regretfully award this hotel with a single star, and I hope this review serves as a warning to potential guests.
First and foremost, the rooms in this establishment were unbearably hot. Despite adjusting the thermostat multiple times, the temperature remained stifling throughout my stay. It felt like I was staying in a sauna rather than a comfortable hotel room. The lack of adequate air conditioning made it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep.
Adding to the discomfort, the apartments were incredibly muggy. The humidity levels were off the charts, making the atmosphere oppressive and unpleasant. It was as if the hotel was trying to recreate a tropical rainforest rather than providing a comfortable environment for its guests. The constant dampness made it difficult to relax or feel refreshed after a long day.
To make matters worse, the room service at Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield was non-existent. I was shocked to find out that there was no room service available during my stay. It is inconceivable that a supposedly reputable hotel would fail to offer such a basic amenity. I had to walk all the way to the front desk just to order food or make any requests, which was highly inconvenient and frustrating.
Speaking of the front desk, the lack of access to it without physically walking to the front desk for every little thing was absolutely absurd. In this day and age, where customer convenience is valued, it is mind-boggling that there were no alternatives for contacting the front desk. This inconvenience only added to the growing list of frustrations and made me feel like a burden rather than a paying guest.
Finally, one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for its pool. However, to my dismay, I discovered that the pool was closed during my entire stay. This was extremely disappointing, as I was looking forward to enjoying a refreshing swim and relaxation by the poolside. The hotel's failure to communicate this beforehand is unacceptable.
In summary, my experience at the Sheraton Milwaukee Brookfield was a complete disaster. From the unbearable heat in the rooms in the hottest month of June to the muggy apartments, the lack of room service, the inconvenience of accessing the front desk, and the closure of the pool, this hotel fell far below my expectations. I would strongly advise potential guests to steer clear of this establishment unless they enjoy discomfort, inconvenience, and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI could not understand why this hotel got such bach reviews. I stay for work in this area all the time for years and decided to give it a shot. What a mistake. I received a mobile key for my mobile check in, and upon arrival found my room to be the closest room to the elevator despite my profile preferences for a high floor away from the elevator. I was assigned to the Club Lounge floor, which I should be as a Titanium Elite Member. The lounge atmosphere was lovely. Unfortunately, the information available to guests in the mobile app informs the Lounge is open Thursday evening from 6-9 (info difficult to find, there is not information provided in the guest room). The lounge was unattended with no silverware. I waited for 12 rings for someone to answer the front desk phone. Was on hold for several minutes while they tried to contact the lounge attendant. When they were not successful they asked me to go knock on doors for her. No one came. Hope she is ok. But if not, no one knew. I left and came back later to find that there was no more food available and only some little desserts with fruit flies. The filthy Keurig in the lounge that looks like it has never been cleaned was a big turnoff. Apparently they post different information other places in the hotel regarding the real hours and services available. I love a good scavenger hunt, but hotel services and the conflicting information shouldn't be one. I tried to use the gym. The 10 lb dumbells were missing. The front desk told me there was a second smaller gym on the property and an employee would go check that gym to see if they had ended up there. Not only did he not find them, but there was one missing from the set in that gym, too. I had to leave and go to the Planet Fitness when I only wanted to do a small workout. There's a Dick's Sporting Goods 3 minutes away. Easy to replace and provide this guest amenity. If someone is cleaning and paying attention, this is a non issue. If you have security cameras, you know where they went and how to retrieve them or charge guests for removing them from the fitness center. But strange that management needs these standard notes on hotel operations. They do flash video screens of the hotel management though in the lobby. Not sure why you would want to tout that when the guest experience is not good and the hotel only receives 3.8 star reviews in the Marriot site and only 4.0 on Google. Obviously significant room for improvement. Although the structure is dated, I did...
