MACS (Macaroni And Cheese Shop) Brookfield — Restaurant in Brookfield

It's seems like they don't have a grip on now to handle things here. Weeks ago I received an email from MACs advertising that on St Patrick's Day the Reuben mac and cheese was going to be half price. I planned my day around coming here and after I made the over half hour drive down I was told that they were only accepting cash at this time and that if I wanted to use a credit card my only option was to make the purchase online. Like many people these days I don't normally carry cash on me so I proceeded to try placing the order online while I waited in the restaurant only find out the don't offer the Reuben Mac online. I asked if there was any way that they could ring me up for that and the girl went back and supposedly got the manager who informed me that they ran out of Ruben! Seriously, If you can't get enough in stock why are you even offering it? The place wasn't even that busy. Honestly I think that they did have it in stock and they knew that there was no way I could have ordered it go to avoid the situation getting escalated they tried to give an excuse of that they ran out. They didn't even have any signs on the door or in the ordering area saying they were out of Reuben nor advertising that they only accept cash at this time. I had a sign up advertising the Rubin half off right in front of them at the register. The manager did not try to give any type of solution nor did she seem very sympathetic at all. So when is it going to be in stock and now am I going to have to pay full price next time because they either ran out or just were not able to take normal payment via credit card? That is my fault. This is absolutely ridiculous! I seriously doubt I'm never going to come back here. I work in customer service and would always try to get the customer solution rather than just telling them they're out of luck basically. Not...

I was concerned about how one could "dress up" macaroni and cheese.....Mac's did it fantastically! I actually ordered 3 different skillets/plates because I could not make my mind up. The original mac and cheese was very creamy and tasted pretty good. I enjoyed the toasted cheese on top. The second dish was the Buffalo Mac and Cheese. It came with a celery stick and a little toasted bread slice. I really could have used a few more celery sticks as one was definitely not enough. The crumbled blue cheese was a nice flavor touch, though a dressing would have been nice to cute the spicyness of the sauce. The Buffalo chicken was a nice add-in to the Mac and cheese. Again, spicy Buffalo chicken, which was wonderful. The third skillet was the Carnitas Mac and Cheese. This skillet was awesome! The different ingredients did not make if feel like a Mac and cheese add-on topping, but a wonderful dish! I loved the black beans and corn with the tortilla chips sprinkled on top. The seasoned shredded pork was seasoned very nicely. I actually did not finish all the dishes because I was eating too much, but the Carnitas Mac and Cheese was the one I wanted to bring home as a leftover. That was the overall winner of the three! If I could give place a zero I would. After driving for 13 hours all I wanted to do was get something to eat so I can go back to my hotel room eat and go to sleep. I stopped at this place because I thought they had great reviews but I guess I was wrong. Now I'm not giving them a bad review because of the food. I wouldn't know how it tastes because I never got the chance to eat. I'm giving a bad review because Madison the cashier thought it was okay to be rude and disrespectful. No eye contact rude in her tone. No suggestions on what to eat gave no welcoming greeting or nothing. Never ate here before in my life. Wanted to try something different. Now I'm not sure what her rhyme or reason was for the way she decided to treat me this but I'm almost certain it was because I am black. Because I noticed she didn't treat anyone else that way just me. It's a sad world we live in when we have to deal with people like that. I really hope she gets fired for her performance and disrespect. I get very fed up with the way people act when she doesn't know that I have help and save people lives for a living. I really hope this review reaches the right people. Again I can't review the food because I didn't get a chance to eat. Even when asked for a refund she had a attitude about that.
