Best Western Premier Bryan College Station — Hotel in Bryan

Please note that my original review does not reflect my current opinion of the hotel; I have only included it to be completely transparent.

UPDATED REVIEW: So after posting this review, a hotel manager reached out to us & apologized. She was very sincere, and personally helped us get started with the hotel block. Even after she transferred management of our block to a sales coordinator, we experienced timely and respectful communication. We had a couple unique situations they were able to assist us with, and once the event came around, hotel staff were very beneficial (even going so far as to have some of our family moved due to loud neighbors). All in all, I feel like it was just a case of one individual not doing their job correctly.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Don't bother with this hotel if you're interested in reserving a hotel block. We initially reached out to this hotel about a month ago, wherein we provided all the necessary information for the hotel block and were informed that we would hear from them within a week. After two weeks of not hearing from them and them not answering/returning our calls, we finally got an answered call. However, the lady who answered the phone (the same one who we spoke to the first time) claimed to have no memory of our previous communication with her. She had us provide all of the information again, and again said we would hear back from them in a week. Surprise surprise, a week passes and we don't hear anything from the hotel. We called again asking about the status of our request, but the lady was of no help whatsoever. She refused to provide contact information for the actual individual that handles room blocks, and her only solution to expedite our request was to have us provide all of our hotel block information AGAIN so she could yet again place an ignored piece of paper on her...

Hotel overall cleanliness just isn’t there stayed for two weeks the lobby and the elevator were dirty the entire time! Stains on the floors and walls! The rooms were ok house keeping overall sucked they did mediocre job in the rooms! Skipped days and then wouldn’t leave towels and toilet paper basic necessities or would leave the trash cans full and overflowing when they would clean! I asked the front desk four days in a row to get my sheets changed and they never did! The dead give away the set of sheets on my bed had holes in them so same hole same spots every day kinda hard to argue that! The toilet in our room leaked and they supposedly sent maitenance 3 different times to fix it! They claimed they couldn’t fix it! It needed a new wax seal all they did was kept caulking to try and stop the water from coming out where the floor and toilet met! The overnight elderly gentleman at the desk was rude and never would speak! During our stay 14 trucks were broken into in one night and the lady at the desk said they weren’t and didn’t have any plans to increase security or guest safety! Breakfast isn’t bad has a variety and different stuff typical hotel stuff. There was a few ladies and gentleman at the front desk that were friendly during my stay! Mostly the younger college kids were the nice, helpful and friendly ones! Bar was ok when I ordered margaritas they had so much tequila you couldn’t even drink them. Different bar tender every night so the constancy and standards changed daily for better or worse! Was like playing Russian roulette daily when you ordered! Overall wouldn’t stay here again for the price can find comparable hotels with higher standards too many options to settle for...

Appearance at a glance is nice, however on closer inspection during our stay of lobby facility and room In my opinion was unkempt and dirt. Elevator was noisy, electrical sound from back of operating panel quite unsettling. Dust all over furniture in lobby, sofas were stained and dingy. 4th floor hallway not only has a Clorox stain by elevator but looks to be caving in the carpet is covering holes on subfloor foundation. Our Rooms bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, stained sheets, holes in bedding, counter not cleaned, no info pack arable in room, the front desk printed us out of channels list. there was a lot of black hair all over window and AC unit (gross, I have pictures), our hair is blond. The pool was dirty with bugs and also had a lot of hair in the hot tub. I gave 1Star because the AC in our room was ice cold and that was awesome!! Basically a Cleaning Crew needs to be brought in to clean/dust/sanitize from TOP TO BOTTOM defiantly time for new beds, new linens , apostrophe cleaned and possibly construction to sub floor before it caves in. Side note I did not know the hotel had dinner service until I notice sticker on elevator bc no info pack in the room, looked decent. Nothing Premier about this hotel, matter a fact the Best Western in Athens where I stayed in April makes this one look...
