Ok so let me just say that there is many reasons why people are hyping this place up!
Now here’s my experience. So as of lately I haven’t really been eating out because whenever I spend money somewhere I’m always disappointed because the food doesn’t ever taste as good as it looks. And more importantly customer service is horrible.
The other night it was literally 30 minutes before closing and I was driving back from Caldwell so it was obviously late but for some reason I was just craving tacos. Now I’ve tried damn near every taco joint in Bryan and have always been disappointed. So I show up at Don Luis like 5 minutes before closing to pick up my order and the man who I think is the owner, not entirely sure was cleaning and you could see he was actually cleaning. So I pick up my food had never been there and so I didn’t know of the specials and was just ready to pay for my food and leave until he told to pick a free soda. Most restaurants don’t do that unless you ask. It was nice too because of the long drive from Caldwell. The man was SOO nice too! Even when it was late he made sure I was happy when I left. So getting home I thought it would be just the tacos. Didn’t know it came with beans I didn’t know what they were when I opened them. I don’t like charro beans at all I’m a refried beans kind of girl buuuut these? These charro beans? You just have to smell them and you can smell the high quality ingredients so when I tried them? AMAZING!!!! Al pastor tacos? AMAZING as well and they are not stingy on their meat.
Overall 10/10 and will be going back and telling everyone to try it out!
Owner of Don Luis, please keep up the customer service even when you become a multi million dollar...
Read moreI have been wanting to stop and eat here but I never seen people there when I drive by. However, I finally did and let me say….it was super clean, the gentleman that told my order was so kind. The order the street tacos with shrimp, chicken quesadilla from my mother-in-law and a burger with no cheese for my son. Everything including the burger with no cheese was so delicious and flavorful. My shrimp was perfectly well cooked not overcooked, not undercooked, but perfect. Those tacos cost about 12 bucks and the four of them with eight shrimp thing ever. It came with delicious condiments, and my mother-in-law, who struggles on eating tough meat she got chicken quesadillas, and she had not won complaint at all, she really enjoyed it. It is so hard to find authentic Mexican food that is not over seasoned or overcooked. I can tell you hands-down this was my favorite Mexican,...
Read moreThis place is wonderful! We've been itching to give it a try, as we love tacos and have struggled find a decent taco shop in the B/CS area. Tonight we were able to have dinner here. We ordered the Pastor tacos and Mar y Tierra. The staff explained that they served the last of the shrimp but would gladly make some more if we were willing to wait. I'm so glad we did. Both plates were fresh, and satisfying. We also tried the tres leches and lime cheesecake, both on par with dinner.
The wait was worth while, and many came and went while we waited. So, I'd say that the service is very fast!
10/10, will be back. Excellent food, excellent...
