T. Jin China Diner II — Restaurant in Bryan

Loved this place! That is past tenths on purpose. I walk in, place an order to dine in, and sat down near the glass. My General Tso's Chicken dinner arrived quickly as usual and was tasty, again as usual. A few minutes into my meal the server who I believe is an owner asked if I'd like another Coke. As I was about half done with my meal, that would have been perfect. I said I would and ask her to run my credit card. I was told I had to pay with cash! Perplexed I asked why this is. I was told the internet was down all day and they will write my CC #'s down and they will run it in the morning. I asked why I was not told of this BEFORE I placed my order and how much is the meal? She replied $16.00. I showed her the $12.00 I had on me and told her that I usually don't even have that much cash on me as I don't use cash. She took the cash and said we'll cover the difference. At this point I was pretty much done as I have lost my apatite and sitting back in the booth trying to absorb what just happened. Some other fellow came over with the cash I had given the first person and repeated that the internet was down and I had to pay with cash or let them run my CC in the morning. I said I was absolutely not going to let them write my card info down. I offered to come back in the morning and run my card properly. To that I was told I can pay some in cash and some with the CC that they want to run . . . yup, you guessed it. . . in the morning!!! By this point I had already pushed the almost half finished plate away. I asked if the $12.00 was sufficient to cover what I had already consumed, (yeah, I know they can't resell it) and I'll just leave it? I was told no! I told the man now at the table that we have an issue now don't we! The woman called from behind the counter "it's OK we pay difference" I got up left the food and left the restaurant sadly for...

Ordered from door dash. The food was just okay. Nothing to call home about. Doughy sweet and sour chicken (not covered in sauce, served fried), literally one slice of an onion, one slice of a green bell pepper and a shred of a carrot served with the chicken. Bland fried rice served on the side. wonton soup was also bland. Broth tasted like chicken broth from the store with no alterations besides boiling the wontons in it, 3 wontons for a cup of wonton soup. Nothing else in the broth. The wontons themselves tasted okay. Pan fried dumplings taste not bland with the sauce it's served with, bland without the sauce.

Ordered again: 11/18 chewy dough on the pot stickers and 2 out of the 6 pot stickers meat wasnt in the dough. All of the food was luke warm, absolutely 0 of it was hot. Ordered from the website directly this time for schedule at noon, they delivered it early at 11:45 and not through Door Dash like last time. Sesame chicken pieces were large and awkward to eat. Really should be cut in half to make it more bite size. Fried rice bland like last time. Wonton soup bland like last time. Flavors were fine, nothing special.

Likelihood of me ordering here again is low.

Ordered again in 2022 - it's a bit of a hit or a miss with this place. Sometimes they're good but sometimes they aren't. Their wonton soup was overly salty one time and one time the dough on the dumplings was chewy. Recommendation- cut the chicken up smaller. Giant chunks of sesame chicken in an overly filled container...

I was told about this place, so I decided to give it a try... for my experience to eat there was not an ok. When we enter, we had to pick our own menus and sat down. So any who we waited for our waitress and nobody and I mean nobody came to acknowledge us and ask what to drink or anything, so finally after 16 minutes of waiting, we finally got service, (we were actually the only 2 customer in there). And then we proceed to order and got our drinks and food finally came to us. And trust me ya thus food wasn't that great, too salty, dry noodles, dry out rice and just not what we thought to expect from someone to say it's very good, so being in there was like we weren't belong in there at all, nobody never came to refill drinks and ask how we are and the food, just no good service.. so time to pay, well we got our ticket to pay, not one time the lady up front said anything at all, all she worried was money, so while she printed up my receipt, she gave my son to sign his signature, and ya my son is only 12 yrs old, and also giving him my card and other things that belong to me, she wasn't paying no attention, she was worried about money, Amy who after all that I look at her and waited for her a$$ to say thank you and so on, but no she didn't, so my a$$, to her thank you and she didn't even say anything at all too. So I would not recommend this place to no one, but everyone has there own opinions....
