This was a really nice hotel located in SAFE downtown Bryan. So many walkable small businesses in the area, so there is plenty to see and do. Multiple coffee shops, vintage stores, gift shops, bars and restaurants. If you need to be by giant strip malls and don't like leaving your car this isn't the location for you. If you've ever been to any downtown in any large City, Seattle, Berkeley, Chicago then this will be familiar to you and you will feel comfortable here. The train noise doesn't bother me, ear plugs are available at the front desk. The hotel was just renovated in August of 2024, so everything is nice and new and the beds are extremely comfortable. That was one of the reasons we stayed here, The Stella and George are a bit run down already because of so many young college students staying there and doing whatever they want. I would recommend this hotel for singles and couples, that's who usually stays at boutique style hotels anyways. My only complaint is that there were kids next door. Again, I'm not sure why someone would bring multiple kids to a small boutique hotel that do nothing but scream and yell and jump around. This isn't kid friendly but this is not on the hotel at all. I am visiting from Las Vegas so I do expect a hotel to have more of a professional front desk. The woman that was working during checkout was on her personal cell phone and was wearing casual athletic clothes, she said nothing when I handed her my room key, just kept talking on her cell. This is something I see a lot in BCS when it comes to customer service and hospitality workers. They are usually younger and this is just their "whatever PT job." Here in Vegas it's very much a career, most are union workers, so my expectations are always higher. Higher wages ($19/hr for front desk starting)may attract better representation for this hotel. I would recommend staying here, it is very beautiful and...
Read moreI recently stayed at the La Salle Hotel in Bryan, Texas, and it was a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The moment I arrived, the welcoming courtyard set a warm and inviting tone. The front desk attendants were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable, providing lots of helpful information about the area and hotel amenities.
My room was spotless, and I appreciated the personal touch of a card left by the room attendant with her name in case I needed anything. The attention to detail and cleanliness was excellent. The decor throughout the hotel is eclectic and full of character, creating a unique and comfortable atmosphere that really stands out from more generic hotel chains.
One of the highlights of my stay was spending time at the hotel’s bar and restaurant. I dined there three nights during my trip, and each experience was fantastic. The chef not only prepared delicious meals but also made the effort to come out and ask how I liked the food, even offering suggestions for future meals. That kind of personal engagement really elevated the experience.
JJ, the bartender, deserves special mention. He made amazing drinks and offered top-notch, personable service. Our conversations went beyond the usual small talk – he genuinely seemed interested in his guests and helped make the bar feel like a welcoming place to unwind.
Street parking was easy and never an issue during my stay. The check-in and check-out processes were quick and smooth, making arrival and departure hassle-free. As for the nearby train, it didn’t disturb my sleep at all – I was on the top floor and slept right through it.
Overall, the La Salle Hotel offers a comfortable, charming stay with exceptional service and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone...
Read moreThis is a well curated Tribute Portfolio hotel, don't let the older reviews stop you from enjoying what this place has to offer. The booking, check in and check out process was a breeze. The staff is polite and accommodating. The rooms are neatly renovated, spacious and well thought with all amenities. The views from the rooms are gorgeous and there is ample of lighting. The closets are decent sized and have a vault and ironing board which is very handy. There is ample of parking and a little park right outside the building. It is on the Main Street so you can literally walk anywhere and college station is also just a 12 min drive. The hotel and area is safe, I can attest as a solo female traveler who checked in at 1 am and was greeted by the warm lady host amber. The train passes by often but with the earbuds on I slept peacefully. Their dry cleaning service is not set up yet so please get and update if it's something necessary. Their gym is on the basement level. They have coffee in room and serve breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. I highly recommend choosing to stay here when you visit or just come here and spend a few days of peace and quiet. Kudos to staff...
