Station 36 Review, December 2024: JJ was a super waiter, and since we were early, the kitchen was speedy. As per the pics below, the food was really good! The Black Manhatten was a treat as was the Thyme After Thyme (Gin). The beer list is ok, but the list of Ryes, Whiskey, Bourbon, and Gin, wow! The menu is short, and that means well executed. We loved their take on the Shishito Peppers was brilliant! Crab toast was tasty (alas only 3 per order). The brisket sandwich was quite good, nice flavor layers. The sweet potato tots (with walnuts!) Was a delicious twist. My wife had the grain bowl, which is rich in flavor, color, and texture. The Mac and Cheese (with brisket) is desert by itself!

Went in for coffee and dessert. Unfortunately, both times we've come in for coffee, it's been warm, like it's been sitting in a pot all day. It shouldn't have been served. We'd rather wait for fresh, hot coffee than drink old coffee. The servers should know that. While the banana flambe had good texture and flavor, the chocolate mouse cake tasted like it had just come out of the fridge. It was a good cake, just had an off-putting flavor. Ultimately, we left earlier than we might have due to a customer at the bar. He was being incredibly loud and crass. I get it. It's a bar, but it didn't add to the atmosphere. It drove away business.

An outpost of West End Elixir Company located in the same space as a defunct bar and restaurant at the LaSalle hotel. The menu is seafood themed with Cajun/creole influences. Staff are very attentive but they are going to need better training for bar staff who make very haphazard drinks (on a recent trip I literally had a drink that was a few sips worth ... And not well made at that) Wait till they get their growing pains settled and try the place. Once they whip it into shape, it will no doubt be as well run an operation as their original.

Horrible experience and extremely rude service! I had loved coming to this bar when it was on Northgate and was excited to try out the new location. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS PLACE AGAIN! My family made a dinner reservation and was seated next to a very obnoxious (and very loud) table of people. My sister pleaded with our waitress to move us, who rudely refused and told us “they weren’t THAT loud” and rolled her eyes at her. Meanwhile, several F-bombs & other swear words were yelled over from the other table. She then took everyone’s drink order except mine (the 8-month pregnant woman that wanted a larger glass of water than the one provided). The other table continued to get louder and more obnoxious, so my sister got up to ask our waitress one more time if we could be moved, to which the waitress ignored her. We decided to leave at this point. My husband had gone to the restroom and as he was leaving, he heard our waitress telling the obnoxious table that we had left because they were being too loud but that she didn’t think they were and that they were fine. This was an extremely upsetting experience and I hope this helps someone else to avoid such a...

Umm, I mean, I don’t even know where to begin. Real talk. Melco is about as top shelf as the specialty Japanese whiskey glistening from above. He was handling a rush of about fifteen people, solo, and still found the time to not only make one of the best quality cocktails I’ve had in some time, but did so with the best attitude and swift attention to detail.

And once the rush died down a bit, he circled back and took his time to chop it up with us (clientele) and give us some real good knowledge on the drinks they had available (talked us into—willingly—a couple more cocktails) and man, just had some really great insight into the cocktail culture in the town, but also, that he and his team conjure up in this here establishment.

It was no doubt, a beautifully balanced cocktail. Top tier stuff. The Bonvoy is lucky to have a dude like him, and they’d be fools not to keep him around, cuz he’s got the sauce.

Bravo...

I really enjoy this place the only reason it's not getting 5 stars or better is because the food can be a little inconsistent.

Summary: The staff has consistently been great, the food is occasionally just average, the cocktails have always been great.

The food is usually great, mostly seafood dishes but changes with the seasons. I've been here a lot and had most of the dishes more than once and rarely they seem to have a drop in quality but it does happen. So while you're almost certainly going to have a great dish there's the off chance that it's just going to be an average meal.

If you enjoy cocktails or mocktails the bartenders are top notch and consistently make solid drinks. I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but if you stop in here make sure to get a cocktail. The bartenders are also great at suggesting something if you're not overly versed...
