This hotel being brand new, you would expect the amenities themselves to be in like new condition. Overall, this hotel is very underwhelming.
VALET: They all deserve 5 stars. Always fully staffed, professional, and always hustling to get people's cars.
RESTAURANT: 1 star. Food menu options are very (VERY) limited. The dishes themselves are nothing to rave about. If you're a Diamond member, you are better off spending your credit at the Grab N Go. The flatbread is advertised as rosemary sourdough, it's basically a bland cracker once you get it, the appearance and taste itself is disgusting. Had to send it back.
-ROOMS: 3.5 stars. The rooms are nice and clean. Restroom amenities are not stocked. Shower, Shampoo, and Bath Gel were practically empty. When you check in on the app and you're greeted with "we are prepping your room," you would think such a thing would happen.
-POOL: 1 star. Hilton's website stated that the pool is heated, unless heated means ice cold to the hotel. That is what you will get. An ice bath that is full of dirt and has not once been cleaned during my 5-night stay at the hotel. I walked by the pool throughout the day just to see if it had been cleaned. Nothing. To top of this experience, there was some type of event happening with the Hilton employees at the pool area. I guess neither of them noticed the poor condition of the pool. Especially with it not being heated. If you do have a heated pool, you would of course see steam coming off of it.
-FRONT DESK: 5 stars. I checked in shortly after the outage had happened. The lady up front was working by herself and had a long line of guests. It is unfortunate that she had to work with all the guests all alone. But she did it with the highest patience and still greeted each guest all the same way.
Overall, it's unfortunate to have an experience like this with a new Hilton property in the area. You're best bet is to stay elsewhere with a more reputable reputation, or by...
Read moreStayed at this hotel at the end of July and for a brand new hotel, it was pretty disappointing. The main issue was the front desk and some protocols. They could use some training and basic professionalism - especially as a new hotel. This didn’t even meet Hilton standards. The person checking us in was great (unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name) - she told us about the hotels, amenities and things to do around. But it went downhill from there.
Several times (different days/times) we called the front desk to ask questions and for towels. The phone was answered ZERO times. Then we had a flea incident and went downstairs to report it (tried calling, but again, no answer). The front desk manager didn’t seem surprised or at all affected by it. Then she asked us to check out and come downstairs with all of our luggage and the keys, and then she’d give us a new room. I’d understand it if it was some sort of protocol to sanitize the room and belongings, but it simply seemed to be to ensure that we vacated the room. The front desk alone received 2 stars, mostly saved by the person who checked us in.
On the flea incident, it is hard to tell if this came with the previous guests, or even if they possibly jumped on us while we were outside (as we were at The Source right before). But what was alarming was the lack of concern or protocol. Several years ago we had an incident on a cruise with bed bugs, and they took this very seriously and not only quarantined the room, but all of our belongings were treated to avoid having this issue travel to another room. The staff here treated it as any other request to change rooms.
The rest of the staff was great - housekeeping, pool area maintenance, valet, and various service people around the bar/restaurant.
The rooms had good sound insulation. They also had ample storage space in the room. The pool area was great. Didn’t try the...
Read moreROOM - pool deck room, direct access to pool area, kids loved it! Very clean, quiet surroundings, most comfortable beds. Lots of charging outlets for gadgets. Room temperature isn’t so bad at all, stayed at 68 all day/night.
POOL - pool was not heated when we went, it wasn’t a big deal since we came summer and weather was 80 degrees. Pool size is small just perfect for smaller kids since it’s just up to 4 1/2 feet deep - my 6 & 8 yr old had a blast. Lots of towel available, all nice and clean.
SERVICE - only for front desk upon check-in, very pleasant Asian female who’s very helpful and accommodating. We did not try the hotel restaurant we were more than happy to walk around eat outside, Sizzler is across the street.
LOCATION - close to everything, food, freeway - 91 and 5, convenience store, gas station. The hotel is literally right next to a mall (the source) with cinema, karaoke, kbbq. A few blocks down is knots berry farm.
Note to management - refill the basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, toilet paper) these are basic but missing/almost empty
All in all. We’d...
