We have stayed at this location multiple times, but will NEVER stay there again. We had asked for a specific room location for us and our friends when we made the reservation. When we arrived, we noted to the staff that our requests had not been honored. They grudgingly changed it by pulling other reservations and moving us. However, they refused to move our friends to the proper location, which was also prior requested. We were first arrivals so changing would not have been a problem. I asked for it to be made right and they said it would. When our friends received their billing, nothing had been done so we were obviously ignored. When I went to the front desk to discuss, I found two different employees so I attempted to explain the problem. The woman I TRIED to talk to would never let me finish a sentence. When I asked her to let me finish, the other woman commented that I was being rude. She also rolled her eyes and kept smirking to someone else in an adjoining room. I kept asking to get to finish my comments but it was to no avail. It was quite volatile and I left saying we would never be back (we have stayed there at least once every month). The woman at the desk yelled that we should never return and we intend to make that come true. It doesn't seem like being able to accommodate our simple request warranted the kind of treatment we received. I guess they think we are of no importance as there will be ten others to fill our space. So very disappointed and angry. We are done with Best Western and I intend to cancel my membership. There are lots of other places to go.
8/10/18 Your reply is the same as every other - never admitting any fault to your customers. Some of your comments are true, given my friend acted horribly (I couldn't control that). I kept asking your employee to be quiet long enough to let me finish a sentence, to no avail. You can see it however you want. If I could have finished a sentence just once, I would have been more than happy to listen to her. My friend would not have gotten nearly as angry if she had just let us talk and the other employee had not acted so rude. I observed her behavior and it wasn't shock -- it was purely obnoxious. I'm done with this and will never set foot there again just as your employee...
Read moreThe only good thing about this place is being able to be near the hot springs and the view, Came here on our spring break from out of town and was told of a snow storm coming in around this area, not wanting to risk us and our 3 small children we tried to cancel but GM was unwilling, not calling back and not answering phone calls 24+ hrs in advance to cancel our reservation for free, due to the weather. We ended up not wanting to be out of money so we came up here even after the road closed had to drive further than necessary to get here. paid 220$+ to not only be placed in a smaller room with only 2 double queens instead of a king, they also weren't willing to price match it to a regular rated room. Rude customer service if not for the hotsprings I wouldn't be here, definitely a place I am no longer interested in, this is why I love choice hotels but was excited to be at this hotel to try something new. Definitely never recommending this place to anyone, and will not be coming back here, there was also hair in the tub. Which we hadn't even used the tub or bathroom yet. Room filter was filthy, gm talked behind our backs with other employees, never once came to talk to us about anything, in their hotel directory it stated that they would do their best to make our stay great and they didn't even try, front desk lied about why we wanted the first floor, they are crooks and will charge your card more than once. If you have kids I'd recommend staying somewhere else as they don't care about their...
Read moreGreat breakfast buffet and good location. Really nice gift shop off of the lobby and decent amenities. I've stayed twice the last two years in September for a birthday getaway to nearby Mt. Princeton Hot Springs. My rating was influenced by encountering 3 different front desk personnel who were officious and curt which indicates to me a management problem, not an individual personality issue. They seemed really concerned that the rules be adhered to, which as a middle aged woman who's idea of a high time is soaking in the hot springs seemed a bit excessive. The room I was given was starting to get a bit shabby around the edges and at the top of the stairs (no elevator) on the second floor, meaning all the noise from other guests coming and going marred my getaway a bit. While I am a Best Western rewards member, both times I've stayed I was given a room on the side of the hotel that looks out onto scrub and construction equipment as opposed to the front view of the Collegiate Peaks. (To be fair I did not request a room with a view, hoping that my rewards status and return visit would give me an advantage in room selection). Lastly, as I was loading my car to depart, the entry card to my room became deactivated a full hour before the 11:00 pm checkout, requiring me to go and find someone from housekeeping to let me in to the room to get the remainder of my things. For the locale, time of year, and problems encountered I would say value for your dollar is marginalized. Next year I will...
