Been there twice now and have had good experiences both times.
Food is very tasty. The entrées have been delicious and very generous portion sizes. The beans and rice that have come on the sides are a little bland, but not bad.
I will say, I wish more tortillas came with the dishes. They're small tortillas, and you only get three of them, which is not even close to enough for the quantity of food that comes with the rest of it.
(Also, this is more of something that amuses me, but the vegetarian section of the menu is bizarre. Everything is a single price, and they don't have names: each optionnis designated a letter. It's like the person who designed the menu has a vendetta against vegetarians.)
Service has been mostly prompt and good. The servers are kind and knowledgeable, they have an integrated POS system that let's them communicate with each other and the kitchen right from your table, and even the people running around grabbing dishes and cleaning off the tables are kind and helpful.
The restaurant itself is nice looking. I'm rather surprised by how much stuff is branded with the restaurant name and logo, but the location is clean and snappy.
There are some negatives, though. The tables aren't anchored very well and slide around with the slightest provocation. The bathroom is also situated in a slightly strange location, being up by the front desk, so it looks like you're leaving when going to use it. But, these are minor quibbles.
Also, shout out to the server Rachel. She served us the first time we went and was an absolute joy. Then the second time she came up and chatted with us, remembering our names and what we had gotten the first time. And we weren't the only guests she did that to whioe we were there. Absolutely sit with her if...
Read moreThe quesadilla rellena was really, really bad, had a super bitter green sauce poured all over it that made it soggy with no seasoning, and the menu listed it was "One beef and once chicken quesadilla" when ordering online, so I expected it to be a typo and it to mean "one beef and one chicken quesadilla," but I only got one.
Also ordered a chalupa, and while it was entirely unimpressive, it also arrived in a closed tin that was utterly soaked through the bottom, so it was mushy. It wasn't a chalupa either, just a hard taco shell, so I got gipped out of 2 extra dollars since I could've just ordered a taco.
Guacamole was fine.
Carnitas dinner was bland and otherwise just spicy, needed sour cream to add some sort of flavor to it. Complete and utter scam for 20 dollars with rice, like the others, just being colored like Mexican rice yet having no flavor at all.
Genuinely just an utter disappointment of a meal, and the only thing that is keeping them off 1 star is that the delivery came with no issues. Avoid this place as there are FAR better places to get Mexican food at almost any...
Read moreThis was my first visit. I ordered the Grande Special, featuring one of each: burrito, enchilada hard-shell taco, chile relleno, and served with rice and refried pinto beans. Everything item, except for the chalupa, was filled with seasoned ground beef. The meal came out in two platters! The only thing that marred the food was the ground beef filling that tasted good, but was exceedingly salty. Chile relleno typically is stuffed (usually with cheese), covered in an egg batter, fried, and covered with a tomato sauce. The relleno I got was not fried or covered with egg batter. It instead was drenched with a cheese sauce. It was fine with me. The texture and taste of the rice was bang on. The beans were decent. Again, my biggest complaint was the salty meat filling. On the other side of the taste spectrum was the salsa served with the tortilla chips. The sauce was remarkable in that it was the most tasteless I have ever had! The service was good and the $17.00 price was...
